I always have that urge to buy and I tell myself that I am on a budget and can't get anything more. It is only the 6th of February and I have already gone over my budget by $200 and there are still items on my list to get this month. I say go for it and go shopping, after all if it wasn't for crafters spending on there addiction the economy would be in worse shape. Let us know what stores that you go to and what you get. Don't worry we won't tell your husband, we have husbands/significant others that we don't let know what we get either.
Yes I went OVERBOARD on Sale-A-Bration....wait a minute! There is no such thing as "overboard" when it comes to this! Anyway, I bought so much that I was able to get everything in the catalog free!!! Now that's shopping!
oh ya i almost forgot! don't tell my husband hahahaha (evil laugh again)
Its funny that you mention "don't tell my husband" b/c my husband always tells me, "Your Dealer is on the phone, calling about your weekly FIX"! LOL.
LOL all the enablers! I'm not going to feel bad about sharing. I give myself $400 to spend a month on anything. If I go over then I deduct the difference from the next month. I only went over during Christmas, but I'm going to decrease the amount to $300. I really don't need anything. I'm just a shopaholic and today I'm mostly a Copic-holic. I already spent 1/2 my budget on Copics today. I know how hard it is to stare at that list and not want to buy. I keep a wishlist and just cross off stuff as I go along. It's nice to splurge every now and then, but I wouldn't want to enable you if you're on a budget. I handle the finances, so I know exactly what I can spend. I'm lucky because my DH and I know exactly what's going in and out of our accounts, so we never worry and he's always happy for me when I get my happy mail. I would suggest the Sugar Nellies also because I just went to check them out again at Funky Kits and they're adorable. Happy Shopping!

I know exactly how you feel! I have been on a no shopping for a month and on Tuesday I blew it! I ordered some sugar from Funky Kits, they didn't have all the stamps in and on Wed.they sent a message they RESTOCKED. So quess what, you got it, I placed another order. OUCH!!!
So I vote to SHOP!!!!
Hope you are having a great and safe Friday!
If you can afford to stimulate the economy without hurting your family, I say go for it! Sometimes we need new things just because.
It's funny because since I've been on a budget I've been finding more and more that I want (notice I don't say need). I thought that on a budget I'd be able to save towards a Cricut Expression, but at this rate with my wish lists for Gina K, Papertrey, and Spellbinders products I'll get that Expression in another 3 years.
yay so i have finally narrowed down my order for su and it does include 2 sale a bration sets so i think its kinda worth it and i am also wanting some nesties and designer paper and i need need need new embellies and ribbon hehehehehahahaha i can't wait for all of the fun yay

How about an ATG? I ordered one today and can't wait to get it!!!!
Stampin' Up workshop tomorrow at demo's house so I'm sure I'm not done spending yet.........
Oh I love it when I can enjoy spending vicariously (thru someone else!). Since I've already spent my quota, I am holding off but enjoyed hearing what others are buying. Of course, DH isn't home so what he doesn't know won't hurt him. ;-)
I have several wishlists going! Juuuuust when I think I've got it all.... then I see something else I want. I'm trying to be good, but the pull of the Bellas, the SU!, the CHF, the PTI! Oy!
It's a vicious cycle! I have quit using credit cards so my spending has slowed way down but this week it's like I'm in a frenzy. I bought the heart nesties, a case of coasters, a dozen ATG refills, Thoughts & Prayers, A Cup of Tea(old vintage set), not to mention all the trading I've done. I did sell all my cuttlebug folders & dies that just sat collecting dust so it all evens out, right? I never tell my husband what I buy and he has no clue. He's happy when I'm happy. I buy little stuff and he buys big stuff like Harley's, musical instruments, computers, etc. I'm having a debate with myself today on whether I need o-wires in more colors than silver and more marvy punches.
I am BAD for impulse buying, and I want it and I want it now! I have slowed some, because there are things I do have and don't use often. So I'm going to work on using those more, and keep spending down. But then I'll see all kinds of cool stuff coming out from CHA, and I know eventually I will want it...It's a vicious cycle that never ends! At least us crafters are helping to keep the economy going. Invest in craft stocks, and you should be good.
You have SO come to the wrong place for help on not spending! I can't believe I'm the same person who wouldn't by ANYTHING unless it was something practical for our house and now I have room full of too much stuff! (but it's sooooo fun!)

I'm glad I'm not alone!!!!! But I have found the spending "URGE" does pass....it only passes for me because I just don't have the $$$$ at the time the addiction hits...so it's not because I'm good! I spent $60.00 last night at our monthly SU workshop and wasn't going to buy anything....My "dealer" enabled me by letting me order and paying her next week...I'm now in debt to the company store! Ha! Anyway, I was very pleased with what I ordered and that I didn't go any higher..I did of course get one free set...Only a month and half to get the rest of the free stuff from saleabration!
That shopping urge is a dangerous one. I had one yesterday at All That Scraps - (I got a Magnolia, A CC Designs Set, a Whiff of Joy Matthew and a Lola and Milo). I love that I can get a whole bunch of different companies from one source. Of course, I'm seriously considering another order for The Greeting Farm -- those Anya and Ian's are too cute to resist.
Good luck and happy shopping!

As you'll see from my signature, I, too, suffer from Stamp Shopaholicing!! Since I handle all the finances for home and our business I've been trying to keep thinking about the low checkbook balance due to slow business, the $x,xxx estimated taxes that are due on April 15 at the same time as the income taxes, and the people that I've been writing resumes for that have been laid off from work lately. It's not working very well though! LOL! I've been over my SU order about 10+ times trying to be "reasonable"! I'm checking evilBay for a couple of sets I'd like. There are just too many websites that have too much cute stuff! I think I like to shop and collect more thatn make the cards!
I can relate, this month I told myself that I would cut down on my spending, so instead of buying. I traded stamp sets with a niece, this gives me new material to work with and she also gets something new.. So, for now I'm ok, I do however have another stampers class at the beginning of March..... I just hope my will power lasts........ (who am I trying to Kid) ughhhh!!!!
oh no! i was just reading through another thread and was reminded that walmart.com does not charge shipping if you have your order shipped to your local store and they also carry nesties and the tan embossing pads i've been needing! yay so here i go again

hahaha thats my evil laugh again i just ordered the bigz top note and the billboard alphabet with their extended decorative strip cutting plates and the extended spacer plates that i am definitley using in my cuttlebug. my husband walked in while i was "working" one evening and i had just rund a cutting die through my bug and ofcourse it leaves the cut mark on the cutting plate and he says, (sweet husband!) oh no is it supposed to do that and i said oh no i guess i need some new ones i didn't know it was gonna do that so that will help explain my up nad coming delivery from my demo which will unfortunately (hahaha evil laugh again) include 7 sale a bration sets. yes i know there are only six but my order called for 7. so ya i am definitely in the RED ahhhhhh once again don't tell my husband lol love you guys, you are the best HUGS, mary!
Hey Mary I also ordered enough for 7 sale a brations. Way too many cool things to order. What did you double up on? I got two of the paper. A few weeks ago I bought a 12 pencil prisma set so I could try using the gamsol technique. I KNEW right away I NEEDED the 120 pencil set. It came yesterday. Luckily I found a set on e-bay for only $60 including shipping. Yipee! My SU stuff comes on Friday. It's going to be a fine weekend.

i ordered 2 of the polka dot punches and thought i caould save it as a gift for someone then i just went 7kidscollegefund.com and found their prices lower and shipping was way less so i'm ordering ranger distress ink, tattered angels glimmer mist, basic grey paper, nestability dies, cb dies, and my cart is still open so lets see what else we can find lol

In my world it's... I had a bad day... Oh, I know... a trip to one of the LSS's will make it better. OR I had a great day... Oh, I know a trip to one of the other LSS's to celebrate. Lord, and the there's Ebay and Kijiji... and the fact that I bought myself a Cuttlebug for Christmas, so now I "need" all the paraphernalia that goes along with it. There is NO end to it.
My only defense is that I do have a table set up in my living room (Yes, really!) and do use almost all of my stuff on a regular basis.
My newest craving is an ATG gun! Drooool......
