Trouble with Stazon?
Hi Ladies-
I have lately been having trouble with Stazon not "curing" by baking for 20 minutes at 325 (when using glossy tiles). Anybody have any thoughts on what could be going on? My THanksgiving tile is completely wiping offf. Thanks, |
I'm not going to be much help I'm afraid! :?
I didn't know that you had to bake the tiles. My DD and I made some, but after chalking them in, we only sprayed them with Krylon Finish. They were fine. Terri |
I have also had trouble stamping with Stazon on glass. Even though it states on the Stazon stamp pad that it can be used on glass & ceramic, it definitely is NOT PERMANENT. I e-mailed the company and they gave me a big run around about it being permanent only under ideal conditions like 0% humidity & only on certain types of glass. I assume that stamping on glossy tiles would be similar to stamping on glass. Tsukineko suggested sealing with a clear acrylic spray like Krylon. Making the claim that Stazon is "designed especially for use on glass & ceramic" is FALSE ADVERTISING.

Stazon does NOT need to be baked. In this instance, though, you will have to seal it with a sealer.
