Tray card sentiments for hospital
I'm planning to make and donate tray cards (3x3) for a local hospital and since they want the sentiment to be "upbeat" can someone share suggestions on what stamp set I can use - besides "thinking of you". Thanks

What a great idea, Kimichan. Will you be laminating the tray cards so they can be used over and over, or are they being made for the patient to keep?
I made and donated 65 different A-2 cards to a veterans' hospital. One of the things I needed to keep in mind was not to use phrases like "get well soon", because some patients were terminal. Instead I used things like "sending you a hug", "wishing you a beautiful day", "remember to laugh", etc.
Sorry that doesn't answer your question about stamp sets. I used my computer for most of mine: printed them out banner style.
Please pm me and let me know how your project goes. I may want to try it here.

Ok, so what exactly are tray cards? a note for the meal tray in the hospital?
also, for sentiments, you can type out any that you think of and print them on labels, then die cut a frame around them. Stampin Up! has a set of a "LOT" of greetings in "Teeny Tiny Wishes" and the window punch is perfect for them...

I use my printer for special messages.
I admire you.
You are stronger than you think.
from a Secret Admirer.
The world wouldn't be the same without you.
You're so cute when you smile.
The sun is a blessing...enjoy it!
You are very special.
I hope this finds you feeling better.
What a treasure you are!
I'd like to watch the Marx Brothers with you, just to see you laugh.
Think of phrases you would like to hear if you were weak, or ill, or limited, or lonely.
I think a happy little note would cheer anyone's day.
Bless you for this work.

Yes, what is a tray card?
But regarding up beat sentiments / stamp sets, I love this Lawn Fawn set which includes a picture of a beet and the sentiment "Have an upbeet day."
rooting for you | Lawn Fawn
Lawn Fawn in general has a lot of cute, happy, up beat sentiments and images.
Simon Says Stamp has a lot of nice word dies like "hello," "hugs," and "love." These would make quick work of 3 x 3 cards.
And for this purpose, I really like that Essentials by Ellen set that Stacy linked to.

This is such a wonderful concept, and is sure to be appreciated by the recipients. I think you have gotten a lot of good ideas. As a mom whose son is a brain cancer survivor, my suggestion is to definitely focus on the positive, but to avoid anything that sounds like giving advice. Once when my son was getting a blood draw and was having a hard time the phlebotomist said "you have to be strong". I know he meant it to be positive but I could have strangled him. I would focus on the "thinking of you" or "wishing you a beautiful day". The lawn fawn stamps and "hello" "hugs" and "love" that Hoboken Paper mentioned seem perfect to me. Bless you for taking the time to bless others!

I love the idea of making tray cards - just a little something to brighten somebody's day! I saw so many cute 3 x 3 cards that really didn't have a sentiment. Just pretty flowers and butterflies; maybe around the holidays just pictures of snowflakes, snowmen and angels. And if you leave it blank, somebody can re-gift it as a thank you note for any gifts they may get while hospitalized.

Well, this isn't a stamp but it is something you could type up and print to put in the tray card.....how about a joke? If I was in the hospital, for whatever reason, a good old corny and completely silly joke would be something I would love to read in a cheerful card! Laughter is such a powerful medicine.

He was feeling crumby.

I write to church shut-ins and our sponsor kids monthly and I think I am going to start writing a joke in their cards! Your joke made me giggle and I know they would laugh, too! Thanks for sharing it!
My 11-year-old daughter got a silly joke book in her Christmas stocking. I know I could find a ton more in there!

We do "tray favors" at a local hospital here in San Diego. It's similar to a "tray card". It's a little card that's decorated with stamps, stickers, etc. We tend to do holiday-themed ones. Sometimes the cards just have images on them; no words.
They're taken down to Dietary in the hospital who puts one on each food tray that is sent out to the patients. A little something to brighten someone's day!

Tray cards
I'm so touched you decided to use this concept for the newsletter. I made several already. Used my punches eg butterfly, flower punch and placed dsp in the back of the punch and stamped a sentiment on the inside. I got one when I purchased a stamp set on scs. She enclosed a 3/3 card and used that concept
