Default Tombo Multi Glue question

After reading rave reviews on SCS, I bought Tombo Multi glue at my LSS. It is great for cardstock, but I had a problem using it on ribbon. I glued a piece of spring moss grosgrain on top of a piece of the new designer paper (the chocolate with little flowers), and the brown color leaked thru the ribbon!

Did I use too much glue (I'm pretty stingy with it)? Is there something else I did wrong? I *hate* wasting even a bit of that pretty paper! Any advice is appreciated.

I don't use it on the ribbon on the front of a card...

I use a tiny tiny bit of glue under the knot or bow and that's it... but I attach the ribbon on the back with scotch tape before attaching the cardstock to a lower layer.... does that make sense?

I'm sorry that it leaked through! Is it dry yet? Maybe it will dry ok?

It's been a few days, and I kept hoping it would improve with time. :-) Lesson learned, I guess. I do love the glue, though.

I too found that I can not use it for gluing down my ribbons, as it discolors the top slightly. But I love it for everything else, and like MamaK, I just use a tiny drop behind it to get it to stay. I tape on the back more then anything.
