I have been hearing so much about the Stampin' Up lines from this board and I am curious. I am totally new to stampin but it looks like it needs to be added to my list of hobbies.
Could you ladies give me incite on the Stampin Up line and direct me to where I need to go to buy? I would like to connect with someone in my area (MS Gulf Coast) so that I can have some one to work with in person, but if no one is nearby I will work with someone else.
You can go to www.stampinup.com and use the demo locator to find a demo in your area. You can view the catalog online, but could also ask one of the demos on the locator to look at one in person. A new catalog is coming out on January 1 too so there will be new stuff coming out really soon. Since you've given a little info, someone on here might PM you that they live near you and can help you out.
Welcome to the world of stamping! It's very addicting. : )

Go to "Find a Demonstrator" and type in your address, it will then give you some choices of Demo's nearest you to choose from.
I've been an SU! Demo for three years and was a customer for about five years prior to that. I've enjoyed many different stamp companies (and still do) but I always come back to SU! because I just love them!
My favorite things about SU! are:
48 standard colors of cardstock and ink
6 yearly "In colors" or more trendy colors
Approximately 20 more colors of naturals (whites, blacks, greys, kraft, confetti's, naturals, metallics, shimmers, etc)
Matching brads/eyelets/ribbons
The ease of the catalog to find things
New for January 08 is Rub - Ons
Variety of stamps and artists, something for the vintage, elegant, cutesy, modern, comtempory, etc stamper
You've also came to the right place to find 100's of samples using SU!
Welcome and if you have more questions feel free to ask!!!!!
Welcome!!! You will definately become addicted. Hopefully you will find a demo in your area, if not, I'm sure I can speak for all the Demo's and say any one of us would be happy to help you. Check the SU website under Demo Locator.
You really need to find a SU demo to walk you through all their wonderful products. My Demo does a monthly Stamping Club which is wonderful for ideas, hanging out with other stampers, and oh yeah buying SU. Our group is wonderful about helping out newbies so don't feel you will be out of place. After 15 years of stamping I learn new things all the time. Good Luck, Debbie
I cannot emphasize enough the value of using a demo who is hands on, holds classes, workshops etc. when you are new. That's part of the cost of the product when you buy SU and worth its weight in dollars!!

I was able to use the locater to find a demonstrator close to me and emailed her. I am sure that she is busy with the holidays so I am not really looking to get a reply until later in the week.
