Thumbs up Tim Holtz on Carol Duvall today!

It's a repeat, but a good one.

He shows a "watercolor" technique for stamping with his distress inks that is easy to do and makes a pretty card front.

It's HGTV at 9 AM

Watch if you can!

I saw it! It was an awesome tutorial.
If you missed it, he did a technique that texasjodylynn does perfectly. If you check her gallery, you can find lots of beautiful "watercolored" images. (Hugs, Jody )

I caught it just as he began...thanks for the heads up! I've done this before but never heated the image once I stamped it...I'm sure this results in a richer color and I can't wait to try it this way.

I want to try using my watercolor crayons instead of inks.

That was great! Thanks for the tip. I didn't even realize Carol was on HGTV.
I don't want to offend anyone but I don't really like Carol. I don't know what it is but she kind of bugs me.

Anywho, what is the story with Tim Holtz? I have never heard of him.

DH says that...I've watched her (Carol) on and off for years...The one that bugs me is Sandi Genovese.

Tim Holtz is a Head Designer for Ranger Industries, he is the inventor for all the distress inks, EP, alcohol inks etc. He is an artist!

Hope this link works. I went to www.hgtv.com typed Carol Duvall in the search box. The first listing is baby keepsake box and brushless watercolor card. I clicked on that.
Hope that helps.

The first time I saw this show I tried it and didn't have much luck. The mist bottle I was using made the water droplets too big. I saw a small Hero Arts squirt bottle at my LSS for a couple bucks and thought what the heck, try it. It made a very fine mist and worked great!

Your welcome!
I also found those little misters at Walmart in the beauty area with little travel type containers. I don't know if it is the same thing they sell at LSS for more money but I like it and it is less than a dollar.
