It's not a matter of the thickness, it the cork that crumbles. Cork is made up of very small pieces and put together to make the sheet with the sticky back.
It may work with a manual die cutter, but only with a large die that has no detail. But it may also not give you the clean cut you're looking for.
It certainly will not work with an electric die cutting machine. Also flakes off and can get in the machine and damage it.
I've tried both kinds of machines several times and am not happy with result from either machine. Not worth wasting the corkboard.
