Default Are these watercolor crayons or not?

Caran D'Ache Swiss Made Neocolor 2 Coloring Crayon

Someone offered to sell me these but I cannot find information as to whether you use them like the SU Watercolor Crayons. It says they are "water soluble"--is that the same?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they are. I have set of Caran D'Ache Neocolor as well, and they say water soluble. They are almost exactly like the WWC from SU.

Can the person offering to sell them to you give you any more info, or take a look at them before you decide?

They don't know the answer. They won them in an art basket and they say the box only says the name and rest not in English.

I've never heard of them, so I googled them. Here's a description that I found:

Neocolor II Watersoluble Crayons

Top quality water-soluble crayons. Strong, bright colours. Exceptional covering power. Excellent lightfastness, high pigment concentration. Softer than colored pencils, denser than wax crayons and responsive to a wet brush. Available individually and in sets. Crayons measure 105 mm in length and 10mm in diameter ( 4 1/8" x 5/16").

Used by: Artists, Illustrators, Graphic Artists

Sounds like pretty much the same thing to me (and the picture looks similar enough). This company makes very high end products for artists, so the quality would be good, whatever they turned out to be.
