Default dazzling diamond/iridescent ice

I have been really enjoying reading all the info out here about stamping and now I have my first question!!

What is the difference between dazzling diamonds and iridescent ice....which is easier or are they the same??

Thanks so much!

I've heard you can make something similar to iridescent ice by mixing dazzling diamonds with clear embossing powder (although I haven't tried it myself).

I love iridescent ice embossing powder. It actually almost stays put. Dazzling Diamond is regular glitter and goes everywhere! I rarely use it because of that issue. Although my mom hates glitter, so her cards sometimes get lots of it. Hehe!

Thanks so much! I love glitter but I bet that would be real messy during a workshop! I might try the ice....

Thanks again for all your help!

The Ice has a hologram look to it as well. It sparkles like glitter, but when you move it from side to side, you see a bit of a rainbow-like sheen. Impossible to capture on the computer, I'm afraid...I tried: http://seitlerstamps.blogspot.com/20...mond-dust.html. It just looks glittery--if even that! Oh, well.

So does the dd come off easily like glitter? I love the look but would it be super messy after the card is done? Like if you send it to someone, when they take it out of the envelope will there be "glitter" evrywhere?

DD is glitter, that is it might come off. BUT I recently bought the DD and Heat and Stick powder and it is wonderful! I can send glittery cards to people that the glitter stays on! I am not sure if the iridescent ice gives the same effect, or maybe it's better or worse...I don't know! But I really like my DD.

Since the Ice is embossing powder, the glitter does NOT come off like with DD. Hope that helps!
