Default HELP!!!!

Ok. I went out and bought some mulberry paper to try the batik tecnique and it is NOT working. Did I get the wrong kind am I doing it wrong? I versa marked my image onto the mulberry paper, then I used clear embossing powder & embossed my image, then I used a sponge and crayons and colored my image (after I wet it dodwn of course!), and finally went to heat set it with an iron and it is pretty much BLANK!!! VERY LITTLE (almost NO) color left and NO IMAGE!!! So help me please. I wanted to do this tonight at my demo meeting.

You said you wet it down: pehaps as the iron is drying the Mulberry paper, the color is washing out into the absorbing paper layer. I had good results using direct-to-paper method of applying the ink colors to slightly damp mulberry paper, using re-inkers, a marker, and a pad. Here's my sample.
