Default TAC demos

I was thinking the other night about this. There's quite a few of us TAC demos on here, but I only know a few personally. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting an on going thread up where we can get to know each other a little better, and have a little nook to talk about TAC stuff.

Maybe we could all send Daven some chocolate or Sponge Bob stuff and he’ll give us an Angel Only Forum… LOL

It would seem fair! This site has an SU Demo only forum. Equal time, equal pay?

Oh Daven! Bronwies, Cream Puffs?

Also check www.ashadeofblue.net They have an Angel on forum too.

We do have a form for just TAC demo's. It's called WebeAngels. it's a Yahoo group.
And there are many other TAC Demo groups on Yahoo as well.

There are so many different companies demos here--I think if they started allowing all the different reps to have their own forum, there'd be no one else left to post in General Stamping : )

I'm part of that. I'm just on here so much, it would be nice to have that TAC contact on here too.

I just joined webeangels and tac_addicted this week. I love that they're TAC focused, but I think I need a tutorial on navigating yahoo groups, lol! I'd love to see a TAC forum here. After all, SCS is my home page...

I kind of like the fact that this site is SU! focused.

Sure there would be! There's a demo only forum for SU demos and they still all post out here in General stamping

But there is a tac demo only forum on a shade of blue.
I'm on the yahoo groups but it's so hard to read the threads there that I barely skim. I much message boards to message groups.

Red face

I belong to some TAC groups on Yahoo.
We do swaps and RAK's using just TAC product.
Some of the TAC demo have branched out to start TAC demo State groups.
This way you all can do get togthers and meet other Angels.

I have to agree that Yahoo is not set up for a Great Demo board.

The one thing I "LOVE" about SCS. Is that it is open to all Stampers and Scrappers.
And that there is something for everyone here.
Whether you are a Lurker or totally active in on SCS.

I enjoy the Gallery for inspiration, the message board,
The people on the board. I have made a very cool friends!!

I also want to say that I am sorry for coming across strong about the Yahoo groups!

I didn't know how many New TAC demo's knew about the Webeangels on Yahoo.
Or if they knew about the other groups that are TAC related on Yahoo.

Was the a shade of blue place started by an SU demo? Probably not, that is why there is a demo only side. They aren't going to make a TAC demo only area because they don't want to divide things up even more. At least this is what I have been told.

I'm not suggesting TAC demo only forum. I love SCS just the way it. Just wanted to get a thread up for TAC demos on here to get to know each other better. I'm here all the time talking with my Lostie buddies, which is why I'm seeking out TAC demos here. Since I already live here, might as well get to know more angels who are here hanging out too.

No, it wasn't started by an SU! demo, and yes I know this site was- to communicate with her downline. But clearly the site has taken on a life of it's own, and that isn't it's sole purpose anymore. Many many non-SU demos are here. And many PAY to use the site. They should at least know it's something people are interested in.

Already it's been mentioned by the site that they are "considering" other company galleries (I hope that it's still being considered), so it could be something they consider later. It would be tough to set up other company forums because there would have to be so many, but the site could just look to see what there is demand for.

But really, SCS is useful as is... and to the OP if you want a TAC thread to chat with other TAC-ies start one! We'll chat.

It's probably just better to keep it business free, since it's out in the open.

Okay, then here is my question. Why have an exclusive "business free" thread just for TAC demos? In the SU demo forum area it is mainly for business purposes. Occasionally a non-business related issue sneaks in but we are encouraged to come to the general side for that. If you all just want to chat, why not include ALL of us?? Aren't we all just people who are friends. I truly mean this in the nicest way. We just need to make sure there isn't a great division between companies on here. If you all had your own forum that was not open to the public that would be great but if you started an exclusive thread I think some other stampers might feel left out. Just my thoughts.

Hi Anna - I think if you want to have an SCS place for Angels AND those that want to get to know the demos a little better then start a thread in 'Everyday Chit-Chat'. This would allow the Angels to have a place to converse and give those stampers interested in getting to know the Angels a little better - or to ask questions about TAC. That way you have a place to chit chat about this and that for all parties and it's not on the General Stamping board because what's talked about may not always be stamping related.

I have to say that I LOVE this site but also have tac_addicted to keep me busy. It is pretty much what a 'thread' here is...a place to discuss TAC and it's open to ALL. It's great to have a place for Angels to ask questions about anything and it's great to have non-Angels there to share their ideas and talent. And it's never become 'one person's group'. It was started when I was a customer and remained the same since I became an Angel - I believed it should remain as it was when I created it as a non-Angel - a place to gather and have a great time - and it has. And then some! We have a great team working together over there. Although we are no SCS ...this is life force all it's own!

SCS has become an amazing online community. It's great to know that we can all come to one place to see amazing artwork and to talk about stamping - no matter what companies you love (me? too many to count!!!). It's also great to know that we can all come together from all different companies and share ideas...too often in life there is conflict where there should be none...if they could just take a lesson from everyone here at SCS.

You can count me in too, Anna!

However...since I am not around the Lostie Island so much right now...I don't know how much I will be around here. But you know I just had to make an appearance!

Gotta support my fellow TAC demos!

(for those of you unsure why I am not around as often as I would like...growing a baby is taking a lot out of me. LOL!)

As far as I know, no one *pays* to use the site -- it's free!

But SCS does accept donations, and as a 'thank you' for donating $24.95 or more, you can get access to the Dirty Dozen gallery, which is *well* worth the cost!

I pay to use the site. They didn't require it of me- but the service they provide me, since I'm around here all the time was worth it to me.

From the fan club page- emphasis mine

To me supporting the site, is paying to use it.

Access to the dirty dozen is nice, and I could never match the talent of the women who are selected to put there art there, but really it isn't of any use to me and I rarely go visit except to look at the thumbnail clips when the new theme is released. Maybe spend a few minutes there. My donation went to support the site, not view that gallery.

Also from the fan club info page- emphasis mine again.

To me that means it's not static. They are changing what this site is all the time. And we might not get company specific non-SU forums anytime soon, but it sure doesn't hurt to let the people in charge that some of us are interested in them.

Because TAC Angels would like to meet each other, just to chit chat? I don't think anyone is going to kick another stamper out. Most of us are pretty nice people. But there are lots of "exclusive threads." There are threads for military support, pregnant stampers, weight loss stampers, stampers who watch particular TV shows. I wouldn't belong in any of these threads- but I'm sure if I stopped by for a second I wouldn't be kicked out. TAC is still a small company- I personally have never met another Angel. The internet is my only chance to talk to them. But because there are SO many threads on everyday chit-chat, and general stamping it's not like they are the only people we'd be talking to. YKWIM?

I guess I would just have to go with the OP's original idea, which is to start a thread. Seems like there was an "Aussie Demo" thread, wasn't there? I never heard of there being a problem associated with it.

The only reason that I brought up the fact that no one pays to use the site is to avoid confusion with any newbies out there. Certainly we can agree that there is no requirement to pay for access to the vast majority of this site, and that the Dirty Dozen stuff is considered a benefit to those of us who make a certain level of donation to help keep the site up and running. It seems to me that this site is very, very careful in referencing any money given as a "donation", not as a payment, for obvious reasons.

That being said, we all -- "paying" members or no -- have a right to voice our opinions about what we'd like to see happen on the site. As a matter of fact, there's a whole forum devoted to the idea! And you don't have to pay to get into that forum, either!

Agreed

But because of this careful wording, we are donating to the site in general- and all of it's features- not paying to see the DD.

As for the TAC chat the original poster referenced, I keep checking everyday chit-chat for a thread

Sheesh ~ I didn’t think me posting about sending Daven a little bribe about the Angel Forum would get some many responses….
