Default TAC CS Info

Ok for any of you who have been wondering about the white cored textured CS that TAC sells I have done some research. You can buy the stacks that are on page 223 and I have made a document as to what colors come in each stack. Then I also compiled a "tab" of each color so you can see what it looks like and if TAC sells the papers in the single color 25 sheet packs you will notice a * and a letter or two letters so you can tell. You can find all this info on my blog in a downloadable Word Doc file. But I will try to upload it here as well! I hope you find this useful...I am a color junkie and these colors seem to just jump out at me!

My awesome demo is going to pass the info onto me, so I'll see if its okay to put on here. She said that the Palette inks match most of the papers beautifully and I LOVE the Palette inks. I like them better than the SU inks **gasp**!!

I'll let you know when I know!

That would also be great info to have! Side-track: can you expand a bit on why you like the Palette inks so much? I'm intrigued by the concept of hybrid inks, but don't have much direct experience with them. There's no such thing as too much horsepower -- or too many inks, IMHO. TIA for your thoughts!

Happy trails....

Sue

Oh, where to begin? The Palette Inks dry quickly, but not as fast as basic dye inks, but faster than chalk ink. No need to emboss. BUT if you are quick, you can throw on your EP and emboss on it. I like making my own background paper and I seem to get better blending with the Palette inks over dye ink. Oh, and one big love factor is that they are water proof!! So I can stamp in my Toile Pink (very pretty light pink) and still do watercoloring. I'm not limited to Basic Black for WC techs, but any color of Palette ink. Love having so many choices. And it does have the archival qualities of pigment (craft) inks and the ease/dry time of dye inks. I so love this stuff.

Ditto -- thanks so much for the info, Barbara! I just got my first set of the Palette spots, in the neutrals (Escher) and am really looking forward to trying the techniques you mentioned with them. I didn't even think about the possibility of blending them like the chalks and regular pigments -- way cool! It's looking like I'm going to have to get them all -- love those spots. Thanks again for your help!

Happy trails....

Sue
