I have the Nestabilites I use the Big Kick. Anyway is there anyway I can use the Large Circle Scallop and Large Standard Circle to cut the hole out of the middle at THE SAME TIME? In essence you will have a Large Circle Scallop edge and no middle. I tried doing this and it did not work. I thought it could be done. Here is what I did. All the tags inside the machine, clear bottom, Paper,Large Scallop Circle face down (Groves face down on the paper), then the large standard circle face down as well,(Groves face down) then clear plastic on top and crank through it did not work. What am I missing or maybe it can't be done! Please help me still new at this.
Thanks I feel so stupid!!!:(
If you can not get them to go through at the same time, I cut the larger circle, then use temporary tape to hold the smaller circle in place while I run that through my machine.
I did this the other day, but I had to make sure that the die I was using fit perfectly inside the other and wasn't touching the outer die. On top of the platform I put the clear plate, then the nesties dies facing up, then cardstock, then clear plate.. and ran it through.. then took the clear plates parts lifted off the platform, opened one tab, set the clear plates with dies/card stock inside down on them and took the top plate off.. layed the two rubber sheets on top of the dies/cardstock, placed the clear plate back on and ran it back through again to emboss.. worked like a charm.
I agree with Pam (airbornewife) that the inside one would have to fit COMPLETELY inside the outside one. Since the "ridge" on the cutting side of the nesties is half-way between the actual edges of the nesties, I'm betting the bottom one is keeping the top one from getting all the way through the paper.
If you find a way to make it work, though, make sure and let us know since you're right that it would be so much easier to be able to do both at once...
Thanks so much it works, now I know it just can't be touching the dies or I ruin them. My problem was I took a large scallop and large circle it was touching.Thank god I got knicks on the back of my smooth side Large Circle and did not destroy the groved edge side. It pays to ask.
