Keri has posted a very helpful sticky here that explains all the nicknames. As you post more, your nickname will change till you hit 1500 posts and become a "Mad Swapper"!

The Quick Reply button looks like a sheet of paper and a quill pen, and is located in the bottom right corner of every post to the forum.

thanks for the replies to both of my questions.
I am still trying to figure out why when I click on e-mail response it goes back to no e-mail response each time. Isn't there a default so I don't have to check this each time?

Have you changed it in your User CP? That will apply the setting across the board and not just to a specific thread. On the left under 'edit options' there's a place where you can set up your subscriptions so that you always get an e-mail, and you can choose instant, daily or even weekly notifications.
