Suggestion for SCS Member companies
Please put a sticky with a direct link to your store (if you haven't already done so)!
It used to be that when I clicked on a member company forum, I immediately saw an ad with a link to the store. That no longer appears on my screen. So, it takes me a while to actually find the store for your company.

YIKES! Really. Our banners should link to our stores. I'm going to go check mine right now. Thanks for the head's up!
In case anyone is newer to splitcoaststampers and is wondering what "member company forums" are I'll take this opportunity to fill you in here since this is where most of you hang out.
We are companies that support Splitcoaststampers finacially through the purchase of our own forums here. You may not have ever seen our forums because they are way down near the bottom of the forums page. We have lots of great chat going on about our companies, new releases, challenges, giveaways... all kinds of fun things! We are all very proud to be able to support this fanatastic community and would LOVE you to come down and visit us!
The member companies are:
Crafty Secrets
Flourishes
Gina K. Designs
Hanna Stamps
My Favorite Things
Odd Bird Planet
Scor-Pal
Stamping Bella
Unity Stamp Company
Verve Stamps
We all hope you will visit us and help us to continue to support Splitcoast!
Hugs,
Gina K.

AMEN! I hate that, and I find that if it isn't easy for me, I don't go looking.
I have to really like a particular image to go hunting....
just my 2 cents.

Joan the banners don't appear on my screen anymore either. Bugs me huge. Cause they are not only ads for the member companies..but others as well.

I usually go here: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...play.php?f=159
instead of just clicking on the picture icons which lead to the forums. Then I can choose the site or blog or wherever I want to go.

I see that there are little links under the store's name on the forums, and that helps. I guess I just got used to the banners. I just checked again and no banners.
for some reason, when I saw comments of seeing the banners, I though to that movie where the kid says "I see dead people." As in, "I see banners" but no once else can see them.................. HA!

I too have wondered where they went. I used them all the time because I don't go looking either. They have been gone for about a month, hope to see them back. Now I have to go look and see where this little link you are talking about.

Each individual member company has a private forum banner that shows in their private forum. Some MCs change them from time to time, some don't. They almost always link to the MCs store, but that can be altered by our MC owners. We did have some issues at the beginning of September when we converted to a new ad server. We had different banners showing in some of those forums, but those issues have been resolved for weeks, at this point.
On the MC forum page (HERE), there is a link for each of the MC forums, their stores, their blogs, etc. At this time, regarding banners, this is not a defined MC specific page, so any current, site-wide support will show in the banner spot on top of that page. When you click into the individual particular company's forum, you will see that company's banner. I've just checked them all, and they appear to be fine.

Ok now I really feel dumb but I can go to each companies forum and at the top it says Splitcoaststampers, Member company and their name. No banner so what am I missing? I clicked on each one and it isn't the web site. Sorry to be such a pain.

Lori, they do not appear on my computers even, even doing what you suggest. One Mac and One PC. Different ISPs.
So there is an issue, but I'll leave it to SCS and the member companies to resolve!

I never see ads or banners unless I turn off my Norton- those of you who can't see them may want to suspend your Norton etc for 5 minutes and hit refresh then you may be able to see it?

good mornin', Gina. You are a spitfire today! I see ads everywhere, and it seems that we have pockets of people who aren't seeing *any* ads (there's even a thread in site suggestions that Daven's chimed in on).
Can y'all tell us what browser you're using, how you're connected to the internet, anything you think might be relevant?

hi all,
hey, somebody take a screen cap and post it here. joan? just so we're sure we're all talking about the same thing.
ok, never mind, I did it. I just checked 4 browsers - Mac/Firefox, Mac/Safari, Vista/IE, Vista/Safari and all are showing what this screen cap shows, with gina's banner at the top.
if you're not seeing that, is it possible you have some type of ad blocker running? do you see ads elsewhere on the site?

Oh and yes that is what I see too.
But I do remember around the time Lori is referring to that there were other ads in the MC forums but they are all fine, for me, now.

Don't be sorry Joan. SCS wants everyone to be able to see the ads and if something isn't working properly, we need to know. We appreciate you pointing it out so it can be fixed.

In regards to the screen shot picture you posted.... Oh my gosh! You have 526 PM's in your in-box!?
On the subject of the OP, I also cannot see the banners, but I never knew they were supposed to be there, I always entered the site from the teeny tiny link under the MC forum name. EDITED to add: I see banners now, when I click on that MC, then the correct banner appears at the top.
Thanks for working on this!

yeah, nothing to be sorry about Joan. I'm anxious to know what might be causing this. my guess though, is that you've got something running on your systems there that's blocking the ads. there are ad or image blockers that will run inside Firefox, and perhaps that's true for IE as well. I'm only making that guess because I can't think of any scenario on this end that would explain it. I have been wrong before :^)
if you can, and this goes for anyone who doesn't see what my screen cap shows, answer these two questions for me:
- is it possible you have some type of ad blocker running?
- in other forum/gallery pages outside the MC forums, do you see ads at the top of those pages?
and one other question for you Joan. okay, two questions.
- do you know what version of the Mac operating system that you have?
- on Mac Firefox, if you go under the Firefox menu and choose About Firefox, what version number does it show there?
