Default Embossing multiples - do you clean between?

Hi Y'all,
I decided on a Christmas card and now am in the process of stamping the same Santa 40 times (one for each card) with Versamark, Versafine Black and then clear emboss. Arrghhhhh
Is there a trick or do I have to CLEAN my stamp between each stamping so as not to get the Versafine on the Versamark?

HHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP

Well, to be honest, there's no way I'd mass product 40 with that method; I'd just use a good quality pigment ink for embossing, i.e. Brilliance Graphite Black (my personal favorite, for deep, rich black).

Otherwise, if you're going to use Versamark + Versafine, you'll have no choice but to clean the stamp each time in between impressions in order to avoid contaminating your Versamark pad.

I've never tried embossing with just Versafine, but given that it is a quick-dry (not as "instant" as they tout, but fairly quick) pigment ink, it may not have enough "wet" time to allow you to . . .

Why are you using Versamark AND Versafine? I clear emboss Versafine all the time. Comes out looking great... You can't stamp it and wait forever to put the powder on, but if you stamp and then powder, it works just great.

Ladies, I really appreciate your thoughts. There's always help on SCS Thanks so much I'm off to the craft cave to try just using Versafine and that would sure help the process.
