I am going through all my favorites and purging many cards since I have so many....I came across a fair number from WAXYO (former dirty girl) and was wondering if anyone knew what she has been up to? I miss her work on SCS. And I have not seen a blog....? I suppose she may have moved on. Darn. Loved her stuff.
I just mentioned this exact same thing to a fellow SCSer the other day! She is one of the very first people I started stalking here. She's a brilliant stamper! I remember she had a blog for a little while, but stopped updating shortly after starting it up. :(
Miss ya and your *incredible* talent, Meg! Hope everything's alright.
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
Mee too. Love her work. Bump. Anyone still in contact with her? Give her our best and lots of SCS sistah hugs!!!

How funny is this. Caroline was just asking about her in another thread! I wonder if many people have WAXYO on the brain? I think I saw that a friend of hers posted earlier and was going to give her a call and see what is up. I know many people move on from SCS for one reason or another; it is kind of sad because you get to know their work and love it; well, at least we have her gallery to look at forever!
Believe it or not, I went to look at her blog this week and saw she hasn't updated. I thought I was a subscriber and just wasn't getting updates. Waxyo we miss you tons.
You guys have made my day! Thanks, Diane, for letting me know about this thread, and Sarah - I'll call you back tomorrow (Monday)!
Sorry I haven't been here much lately - as Sarah correctly pointed out, this is an extremely busy season in the insurance industry so I've been working my tail off...and unfortunately my stamps have paid the price! I am now fighting a sinus infection, so every spare moment I have has been spent on the couch staring at my crafting supplies rather than using them!
I did treat myself to a new printer for Christmas and hope to start scrapbooking this year - my heart will always belong to my stamps, but I am ready to branch out!
I also made the decision to retire from SU! this month; I have enjoyed being a demo but find that now isn't the time for me to really give it the 100% that my customers deserve.
Regarding my blog: I knew after 1 day of blogging that it wasn't for me, but appreciate all of your kind words on it while I was keeping up...I don't stamp every day, so felt that I didn't have much to share on it (and, after learning I was the victim of identity theft over the summer, felt really cautious about sharing personal information about myself and family on the 'net...I'm sure you can understand). If I have 5 extra minutes, I'd rather be stamping, not writing about it
So those are my excuses! Hopefully I'll have more time this winter to devote to my card-making...you all continue to amaze and inspire me here on this site!
Thank you again for your concern and caring - it means so much to me!
Thank you, Meg... for taking time out of your busy schedule to drop by and let us know how you're doing. It's good to know that your absence isn't due to anything terribly serious. Personally speaking, while I certainly do miss your talented contributions to this site, your reasons are completely understandable. I wish you a wonderful and prosperous 2008 with LOTS of inky time!

Wo, I'm so sorry to hear about the identity theft. Do you know how they stole your identity? I understand that it can take years to set everything straight again.
I rip up credit card applications that come in the mail, and I shred anything with my bank info or SSN on it. I can't get my husband to rip up his junk mail, but it does go in the kitchen trash, so it's pretty yukky.
Sorry for the hijack there. Glad to hear that you are okay!

Add me to the WAXYO fan club! Glad you are just busy! And don't forget, you can stamp in your scrapbooks too- it is really addictive once you get started!
