Just a note about Lovely as a Tree. I heard from somewhere that SU said it is still their highest selling set and won't be retiring it. Personally I have wearied of it but it really is the best tree set out there and once in awhile I use it.
I just realized that there are 2 retiring colors in the Getting Started Collection. That means that the last available set of ink spots will be retiring. I'm not sure if they will do away with them completely, or bring back a new set of spots.
I'm sorry riding hood red is going away, but it will b a sad day indeed if they do away with so saffron. I don't even like yellow, but I use as all the time!
I Got my Stamping Success magazine today and there are SNEAK PEEKS in it.... Oh Hello has apparently made the cut as there are TWO projects in the mag using it! There are also colors listed of the new In Colors!!! GORGEOUS!!!! Cantaloupe is gonna be a FAVE of mine, and even Strawberry Slush! YUMM!!!!!!
SO excited and SO HAPPY I AM BACK WITH SU!!!!! THIS is why... they are HIP, JIGGY and DOWN WIT DAT! ;)

Ok, and I just have to say that although you may be sad things are retiring hold on to your wallets fellow stampers! SU has given us more sneek peaks than ever and earlier than ever. Every day I log on it seems they are showing us more and more which usually kind of bums me out because I like to be surprised BUT I am loving everything they are showing us and it's getting me super excited to see everything! I think there is going to be a little something for everyone in this one! Or if you're like me...a lot of somethings lol!
I will miss Regal Rose (love it with Rose Red) and Bashful Blue (a rare non-fan of Baja Breeze). I like More Mustard and was starting to Like Not Quite Navy but won't miss them as I haven't made much with them and I love Night of Navy better and can accept Crushed Curry for most fall-themed projects.
Certainly Celery will be missed but I do like Pear Pizzazz and ... change happens!
If So Saffron goes away I will be tempted to go bankrupt stocking up on everything in that color. It is far and away my favorite yellow.
I don't want to think about stamps and accessories that will retire ... my budget is too tight to get much and my birthday is too far away.

I have not bought into being a hobby demo (YET!) but I am wondering about the Stamping Success magazine. Do they tell you the measurements of the pieces in it when they suggest the project?

They shared a sample of Stampin' Success that you can check out here: Stampin' Success
In addition to the magazine, there are online extras you can check out and look at older issues.

Well if it's not carrying over it's the only used set in the mag that isn't!!! That baby is CHALK FULL of YUMMY NEW GOODIES!!!! We can even make our own BUTTONS!!!! LOL Go figure I pitched some other forms and clay I had... of course the clay had never been opened and was a very pretty colored ROCK by now!
ARGH! as a newly returned Demo I am buying the new ink pads as I can, and wouldn't ya know? I just got the Soft Subtles YESTERDAY.... lol Well, at least I have some REALLY pretty ink colors to sit around! ;)
Will be excited to see the new colors taking their place. Perhaps I should go log on and take a peek!
Can't you do anexchange or return? Might be worth a call to SU support.

I'm real anxious to get my hands on the clay and the molds! Color with any reinker to make any color you want!! I LOVE to have things match
My favorite stamp sets from the spring catty are All Dressed Up and By The Tide. Soooo my prediction is that they will move to the big catalog. Crossing fingers and toes!!
I am happy they are finally getting rid of Bravo Burgundy. It has never been a good color IMO....I wanted a nice deep "burgundy" but the paper was a little too dark and the ink pad always looked much more brown compared to the paper.
I am most sad to see Celery, Not Quite Navy, and More Mustard go. Judging from the link given up in post #19, those colors will have returning In Colors to replace them. I can't remember what those colors looked like exactly, I will have to see if my demo has any samples laying around.
I will probably keep my Bashful Blue, it's the perfect "baby boy" blue and should last me a while. I will also keep Not Quite Navy, and Baja Breeze. I just bought Baja Breeze not too long ago! The rest I will get rid of either here on the B/S/T or on Ebay. Some of those colors I got rid when they did the BIG change 3 years ago because I realized I never used them anyway.
Overall, should be fun deciding which new ( returning ) colors to add to my stash!
The Bingo sets likely will retire, I noticed in the Spring catalog that they didn't note the Spring Sampler set as going with the Bingo Card stamp. I've gotten a lot more savvy at figuring out what will stick around and what's just a fad.
One thing I'm really hoping is that we can get individual markers again especially with all the new colors added. I have all those new colors except for Soft Sky, the new grey and Crushed Curry. I'll end up with duplicates if they only offer the new colors in a set.

Jan Tink did her stamps retirement predictions again. :-) I hope that a few of them stick around!!!!!
Me too, though I have most of my faves on the list. My question is, say they did retire Circle Circus or Perfect Punches - would that automatically mean all those punches would retire, too?
Given that they gave us oval framelits recently, is there any hope for circle framelits? That's what I want.
I agree with Jan on some of the sets. Circle Circus has been around for years, the deer stamp isn't nearly as cute as the long running Dasher stamp, and they usually retire stamps with sports themes and a lot of kids sets every year. I haven't seen some of the baby sets used on blogs in quite a while so likely some of those will retire.
Did anyone notice the small star punch in that video showing the new storage boxes? No star punch to be found in the current catalog and they made quite a deal of punching with it!

Wasn't that the star punch that was offered through the holidays and I believe it's in the current 25 year celebration cattie now. I could be wrong though.

I wish they would bring back the big star punch they used to offer in the big catalogue.

The "Merry Minis Punch Pack" is still available in the Making A Difference for 25 Years catalog through 5/31/13.

Yes I forgot they carried over. And it's the spring catalog, not "making a difference catalog". That's just the slogan for this whole year since it's their 25th anni. Thanks for the reminder....I always forget the carry over list!
Wonder if they're going to get rid of the border punches for something new. What about the pennant punch - it's been around for sometime.
I also wonder about new ribbons and if there's going to be more canvas.
From what I saw of the video there's got to be a new punch for the Label Love stamp set. It almost looks like the Modern label and the new Curly label punch
