SU french script Background stamp
Does anyone have ant idea what is says? It's a great background but for all we know it could say "hey my friend you stink" and meanwhile some of us are using it.
makes me laugh everytime i think about it |
My girlfriend and I made up an absolutely hilarious translation for it. We've always wondered too.

translation
This if from the SU website:
What is the translation of the French Script background stamp? The words on the stamp are taken from a French poem by Victor Hugo, “Since Flowering May.? We are unable to print the English translation in its entirety because of possible copyright infringement of the translation, but you can get a sense of the mood from a few of the lines, printed below: “Since flowering May calls us from the meadows, come! . . . and let the radiance of all nature bring out, like a double blossoming flower, the beauty on your brow and the love in your heart." Hope that helps! |
I had seen a translation somewhere...I think it may have been on the SU website...it was a while ago. It wasn't a full translation but the idea of what it said came across (unfortunately I can't remember if it was about love, friendship or what...but I know it didn't tell anyone that they stink!).
Maybe we have someone who knows French on this site who can clue us in a little better. |
thankyou
I just joined SCS and I am loving all of you! always there to answer a question and sometimes get a good laugh. thankyou
