SU! Craft inks
 

For all who scrapbook and post samples on here ...do you use craft inks only for your pages? Am getting ready to purchase the craft inks for my scrapbooking and was wondering what most of you use. I know you are supposed to use the craft inks so they wiil last longer, I am already a scrapbooker but have put off incorporating my stamping into it a lot until I have all the craft inks. What is everyone's opionion or preference?

I use the classic pads. I stamp A LOT in scrapbooks. I don't have the patience for the craft inks to dry. I have stamped in my scrapbooks for almost 7 years and they have not faded... (yet!). I prefer the classic!

At first I didn't think I liked the craft ink, but I have 1 whole family of color now and am working on the next family. The more I work with it the more I like it. I am trying to use all craft or chalk ink for my scrapbooks. As far as the drying time, I am trying to train myselt to stamp whatever stamped elements that I am going to use and then while they are drying cut everything else out. As far as what colors you need that more depends on what kind of things you stamp so I'm not much help there. All I know is I'm always need ing a color I don't have.

I use the craft ink. I too went to a period of disenchangment with them when I first started working with them. They took so long to dry.

But I have come to appreciate the rich, matte color that they produce in the stamped image. I like the fact that I can stamp sage shadow on forest foliage and see it. I like the fact that I can emboss them. I like the way the stamped image seems to "sit" on top of the page rather than becoming a part of the paper, per se.

I have scrapbooks I did with the classic ink, and as I look back, I'm glad I've switched. The only big warning I still have about craft ink is this: clean your stampin' scrub EVERY TIME you work. Or use disposible baby wipes. The residue left in a stampin scrub from the craft ink builds up over time and will really make your stamps dirty.
