I know everyone uses the White craft ink all the time, right? I was wondering if there were any other craft ink colors that people seem to gravitate towards.
Does anyone use the Basic Black, for instance? What about the other neutrals? Are there any particular craft ink colors that you own in the regular stamp pad size even though you may have all the spots after that big sale last year?
I'm trying to place an order and was thinking about adding to my collection of craft ink pads but I don't know where to start. Thanks!

I like the vanilla and use it a lot. I have all the craft spots, so I use them all! :-) I think the red looks great stamped on pink or white for Valentines Day. All the Soft Subtles look wonderful on dark paper--as do Saffron, Cameo Coral, and Creamy Caramel. I'm pretty sure you need them all, tho. ;-)
The soft subtles are beautiful in Craft ink but I love all of the Craft pads. There is so much you can do with them and the colors are so rich and vibrant! I say 'buy all of them'!

I too have all the spots and use them all. Anytime I want great coverage I pull out my crafts (I never get solid stamps to ink well...and I've tried all the tricks...so I use craft instead). I also scrapbook and try to use my craft ink anytime I do something that will go in my books.
I splurged and have all the Craft Inks. I really like the intensity of color and find myself gravitating to them more often then Classic Inks.
The basic black is awesome on the Confetti White paper -- Classic Black just looks faded on this paper. I agree light colors on dark cardstock are awesome. Also, you can layer colors of craft ink, like when doing 2-step stamping, and the top color really covers the bottom color better than classic inks do.
Craft Black ROCKS!!!!! I love it, love to emboss it with clear EP when stamping finely detailed images!
But, then I like ALL the Craft inks . . . I own all the Craft Spots, ALL the BB in full-size craft, and prolly 2-3 of the colors from all the other families in full-size.
Plus, white & vanilla!

Really love the soft subtles craft pads-the way they show up on dark cardstock is awesome! Also Rose Romance, Red, Turquoise (for brown especially), Saffron...well you get the idea;)

I love all of my craft inks - I have the big pads as well as the spots! lol Right now my favorite seems to be So Saffron because I've been using it a lot lately, but really love them all. ;)
Well, I guess I'm definitely getting Craft Black, then!
I, too, have a problem stamping with solid stamps so I guess I should try craft ink for that as well. I was really thinking about backgrounds, you know, how we do snowflakes, for instance, in white on any color and that works really well. I think a green, like celery, would be good for leafy, nature backgrounds.
And -- I never thought about the SS craft ink being darker or more intense than the classic! I love SS colors but rarely use the ink because they do seem washed out. Now I'm gonna have to pull out my SS craft spots and play!
Thanks so much for all your opinions! It's nice to see so many people responding!

I usually use the craft pads to stamp on twill tape or for embossing because it produces a really rich color. Also, using clear embossing on twill tape really brings out the image and eliminates the need for drying time.
I own all the neutrals in craft, along with my favorite color, red!!! I am planning on purchasing the spots in all the families, just because I want them on hand. I have all the classics except the new colors from the 05-06 catty, and I am actually contemplating not getting the new colors in classic and just buying them in craft!!! I love all the craft inks!!!
