Question Store Bought Stamp Cleaner

I have purchased stamp cleaners in a bottle from the hobby stores. The pad on the tip of the bottle doesn't last long and comes off before I use all the liquid in the bottle. I've tried various "glue" methods to put it back on but to no avail, the pad comes off. I don't want to through away the bottle with plenty of liquid left! Does anyone know how to fix this problem so I can continue to use what's left in my stamp cleaner bottles?

Here's what I have done--similar to thuskins. I pulled the cloth covering off the top of the bottle so you have a clear shot at the spout on the top of the bottle. Then I took an empty travel-size pump spray bottle that used to have hairspray in it (I didn't like the hairspray so I had dumped it out and rinsed the bottle), and squeezed the stamp cleaner into that.

Now I have the choice of spraying the cleaner directly onto large or really grungy stamps, or spraying it onto a paper towel or rag or whatever to clean smaller ones.

Most of the time I just use baby wipes to clean my stamps. I only use the stamp cleaner solution when I want to give them a better scrubbing once in awhile.

Hope that helps! And yes----welcome to the SCS family. You'll find lots of helpful and supportive people here.

That would be my suggestion as well.
