I vote for the curtains....that way you can hide it all if you need to and make the room look neater. Or you have have them pulled to the side for easy access.

My stamping area is in my office closet. I removed the doors, fitted in my countertop, added shelves and handing bars.

Lace panels are draped to the sides and can be let down when someone comes and I don't want to put things away. Iris cart sits to the left side.
Everything is in a container and stored in it's place.

My space is limited and neatness adds room.

I voted for doors, but really I would have chosen curtains to. Basically I just like having something there to cover the clutter when you want the room to look a little nicer. Whether it's a door or a curtain it really doesn't matter - both serve the same purpose!

I actually have mine in drawers right now....but if I had them on shelves I would put up a curtain....open shelves are less expensive and I am sure you can find some cheap material to make into a curtain....Or a clearance table cloth or bedsheet! If you get a cheap bedsheet you could stamp on it too

Oh and I store things like my CM albums in the cabinet with the door. That way they do not get dusty and the cabinet is just the right depth!

I store my stamps in a cabinet with doors, mainly because it was there in my stamp room already!

I chose cabinets with doors, mainly so certain people in my family (not immediate family, extended) won't see all my stamp sets & say "gee, I can't believe you spend that much $$ on stamps!"

that was part of my thinking -- (1) cheaper (2) easier to change colors or stamp on to decorate (3) I have a large table I wish to center n the room so this way I don't need clearance room for the doors. (4) doesn't have the "in your face" look when others are around -- especially since the stamp "room" is only the end of my basement with 40 inch cabinets as a room divider.
thanks for all the suggestions

Right now I have sets in really big clear totes in bedroom and have to stamp at the kitchen table. House for sale and new one on contingency so hoping to move soon and will have a stamping space.
For that new space, I already decided on cabinets with doors. Reasons:
1) Keep the cat out. Otherwise, she would be up on a shelf with room to curl up and watch me -- or even pushing some sets off the shelf to make more room for herself to stretch out. (she already does this with books on a shelf or pushes stuff off the table to make room to get paws on vantage point).
2) The dust factor (which includes cat hair). Less dusting time means more creative time.
3) Doors give more storage options...as in over-door hanging pockets for tools or hanger rod for storing ribbon ready to pull and cut.

Sounds like you have a plan! I can not wait to see what you have done with your room! I am working on moving my things too and trying to find the best ideas for storage as well!
Good luck!

I said with curtains too for the same reason, and the fact that at a few workshops I have had at my house some people were a bit grabby
