Default trading stamps?

I was thinking about posting a stamp set to trade. I have never done this before - how does it work?

You go to the BST (buy, sell, trade) forum and just make a post with the name of the set in the title and then FT or for trade. People will PM you if they are interested.

I was wanting to know more about, I don't know if I should say this, but trust factor. Has anyone ever had any problems when they have traded stamps with getting them?

I personally have not had an issue but since you are the poster just preface it that you willl mail yours one you ahve received theres - if that makes you more comfortable.

I ahve done several sells and have Not had an issue HERE with getting bad checks - BUT I do preface that I need the check first before I ship. (mind you I do NOT wait for it to clear - I'm not that untrusting!!! )

Most people are fine with that!

Kate

PS - what set are you contemplating for the trade!!!!!!?????

A good tip is that you also need to list your wish list so that people know up front what you are wishing for. I never respond to people that just say "I have ____________ I want to trade. PM me for a wish list." If I see thier wish list and I have it I am MUCH more likely to respond.

From the SU boards and here I have had no problems. I think BOTH parties are doing this with some trust and so both need to ship them out together. Also, establish how you are going to ship it (regular or Priority, which I usually do) and if either of you want delivery confirmation or insurance. It should be the same on both sides.

I was worried about the same thing and have only traded one set. I had no problems whatsoever and totally trusted her and she trusted me. We just both sent our sets to one another and let each other know when we got them. Good luck.

Default trading sets

I have traded, bought and sold sets on SCS and have NEVER had any trouble! Everyone seems so nice. If I am selling, I wait til I get payment, but trading I just say I'll send out on such and such a day, and have always gotten their sets quickly. The only thing I don't particularly like is sometimes I really would like to buy a set from somebody, and then find it is Paypal only. I see no trouble with bank money orders, as they are just like money anyway! I also always email the people on the other end to say that I got their set. Good luck on your trade!
