I am meeting today with a demo and will be signing up! I'm a bit nervous and also excited... didn't sleep very well last night, I can olny imagine how I am going to feel knowing that my kit is on it's way to me.
I was also wondering once you sign up how long does it take to get your number? I can't wait to play on the Stampin Up web site as a demo!
I sat last night going through the book and tried to decide which stamp sets are a must have for a starter kit.
Anyone have any suggestions?
You'll get your # pretty fast. AS soon as they receive your paperwork. They don't waste anytime with that. As for Stamp sets to get I think it depends on your taste. If you can afford it I would definitely get the Stampin Memories add on.... it is a great price for everything that you get. ANd I would definitely get an AYC or Greeting Galore. They cover just about any occasion. Oh and a good floral set.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Spring Garden for a good floral set... and I agree with getting the AYC set... SO versatile!
Congrats on this exciting move- you'll be able to join us on the demos-only board soon - yippee!! Just call Demo Support after a few days to see if they have processed you yet, and they'll give you the number if they have... then you can familiarize yourself with the website and all that stuff.
I would suggest you wait until the end of the week to send it off or put a note on it to not process until after the first of next month, then you will get 6 months to make your first minimums!!!
I would suggest you see what you have, and go for a couple florals if you don't have them, 2 step stamps are always great to demo with. Just go with what you don't have as far as kids sets, florals, masculine ones too!
Congrats on your decision... you are going to love it!!
Hi & congrats! I remember that feeling of being nervous doing the paperwork and stuff, but it was so exciting, too! And receiving the kit was awesome--like a child on Christmas morning!
By the way, what's the full cost of signing up right now? My friend, who I've been trying to recruit for the longest, thinks it's $300; but, I know that it was much less than that for me, even though it was during a special when I signed up several years ago. Am I forgetting to include shipping & tax? Help, anyone? :?

Now that you made the decision, it will be soooo hard to wait but you won't regret it.
If you are planning to do workshops, I would suggest that your order sets that are similar to those suggested in your kit. ie. Order one greeting set, one 2 step stampin' set etc. And only choose sets that you LOVE! If you love a set that you are demonstrating, your enthusiasm will be contagious.

I was told it is $200.00 for the starter kit. Not sure what would be $300.00... maybe that is with the Scrapbooking add on kit?
