thanks!

I did this once at a Stamp Club and used the Staz On ink and then the heat tool to set it. Hopefully someone else can give you better instructions!

Project of the Month - Stamped Tiles

Stamped ceramic tiles make a great gift. It is easy to stamp one or a set of four. Use the tiles as coasters or as cute home decorations.

Supplies Needed:

Tumbled Tiles 4" x 4" (from your local home hardware store)
Colorbox Chalk Inks (Stampin' Up! or your favorite stamping source)
Stamp Set (Fresh Fruits by Stampin' Up!)
Felt Adhesive Circles (check your local craft store)
Oven - Preheated to 350 degrees

Step 1:

Using the Colorbox Chalk Inks, ink the stamp with ink. Use additional colors for detail as needed. If you are using more than one ink, you may need to re-wet the ink by "huffing" (exhaling air) on the inked stamp before you are ready to stamp.

Step 2:

Press the stamp firmly on the tile. Do not rock the stamp, instead use a straight down motion. Add images as needed.

Step 3:

Using the edge of the Ink Pad, pounce ink on the edges of the tile.

Step 4:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and then bake the tile directly on the oven rack for 15 minutes. This will "set" the ink. If you are going to use the tile for a coaster you might consider lightly spraying the tile with Krylon Workable Fixatif 1306 after the tile has cooled.

Step 5:

Apply felt circles (cut in half) to the back of the tile if you want to use it as a coaster.

Make one, or a set of four!! They make great gifts!
