I would love to own the tag punch, but I'm not crazy about the stamps and the spots. I really prefer to make my own orginal tags than to use stamps that fit perfectly on a tag. I will also be ordering spots separately, so i don't need the 3 extra that this kit comes with. However, I do think this would make a great gift idea for someone that is new to stamping or someone that you would like to introduce to stamping.
When I first saw this I almost peed myself. But then after calming down, looking at it more carefully and weighing the pros and cons I need to say I too am on the fence too.

I would LOVE to get this set BUT since I am in Australia by the time I bought the set and paid shipping to get it here - it would cost me close to $80 sooooooooooooo I dont think I will be getting in any time soon.
Its definately wayyyyy cute though!
I think I definitely want it! I have used a friends Marvy tag punch - about the same size as this new SU! one. It was so hard to punch! I love SU's thumb punches. I think I would use it a lot to make cute little embelishments for cards and scrapbook pages. I like the stamps in the set too - I think I would use them all. The spots - I'm a demo, so these could be door prizes or hostess gifts or whatever. Yep - I think I want it.
I haven't even seen the actual set yet - just heard about it and have seen samples - but I want it!!! I have lots of various tag punches and love them all!!!!

I'd love to have a tag punch....and matching stamps is nice.....but I think I am going to hold off. I still have WC Crayons that I haven't used yet! I am tempted to just wait for the new catty next summer in hopes that there are tag punches and sets in there.
The price is way too high. If you look at it this way, a large punch is $13.95, spots are about $1.80 each. That makes the stamp set more than $21.00. Not worth it to me. I'll wait till the punch comes out by itself!

I have to agree with you Cindy. I'm thinking...give it to me in a plastic box and charge me $24.95 for it and I'm all over it!
I got mine yesterday! I love it!!! Haven't even had a chance to play with it yet, but I can't wait to show it off. I just have to find my rubber scissors!

At first I was thinking "gotta have it!", but then I started thinking - I have 2 of the 3 ink colors already (if they were in craft I'd probably jump on it), and I would likely use only a few of the stamps. So I'll probably hold off and buy a few other things instead. After all, that's half the price of the WC crayons...
That's what they should have done!!! I kept thinking the spots were wrong - if you like the spots, you have to buy the whole family, so then they would have doubles of 3 colors. It just seemed odd to get 3 random colors with this set. However - hoe many of us have craft spots???? That might have been more tempting to me!
I'm gonna have to pass on this one too. I'll wait until Hobby Lobby has punches 50% off a grab a tag punch there. I have all the spots and I'm not really into the stamps that come with it, so I would be spending $40 for a punch. Ummm, even as much as I love SU, I don't think so!
I will definitely buy it! It looks adorable and a good way to try the new colors if your haven't bought them yet ( I haven't). And, I haven't even been able to find a tag punch that has the whale-type punch. Try to buy the stamps at Michael's even with a coupon would be at least $4 each.
For tags I use my sizzix, I use it all the time and I love it! I have one tag punch and because of its' small size I honestly do not use it very often. Just my thoughts.

I think it depends on who you are and what you have. I love the kit, but I don't have any spots at all. I have every pad (in every color) in craft and classic, so I haven't been able to justify buying the spots. Now, if I get this I have three spots! And I REALLY love the stamp set that comes with it, and the cute little box, and HEY-the punch!! I love it all, and wouldn't be duplicating something I already have, so I can justify the expense. And I love tags, and know I would use this a lot. I try to look at things like that when I get excited about something. Just take a look at these things yourself, and you'll make the right decision for you!

I got it right away. The same tag punch at my local sb store was $16.95-so to me the stamp set is perfect, and I like that the spots are right there. Add a bit of whisper white paper and I have a cute kit I can take anywhere. So for me it was an instant purchase b/c I have been waiting SO LONG for teh tag punch. (and I RARELY pre-order goodies-so trust me *I* felt it was well worth it! LOL)

Question from a non-SU demonstrator... is this a special kit for demonstrators only? I haven't heard of anything yet from my demonstrator in regards to a punch, spots and stamp set specials... Thanks!
the kit will become available to customers in october. currently, only demos can purchase it so they can make samples to show customers. it's really adorable and includes a tag punch (1 3/8" x 1 5/8"); 3 spots in real red, brocade blue and certainly celery; and a cute set of stamps (terrific tags) that fit perfectly in the punch. and it all comes in a cute retro lunchbox tin for $39.95.
you should check out the gallery for all the cute cards that have been made using the kit.
i'm a demo and i can't wait to get home because my kit is being delivered today!
I thought the stamps were very cute in the set. I bought On the Spot BG and one of the stamps is the cuter, smaller cousin of that stamp! And the snowman stamp is precious too. I like how the punch is a 1/4" or so larger than the stamps - instant mat-look. And the punch is a great size. I'm not wild on the spots, but I'm always looking for cute teacher gifts and I could pair that with some teacher stamps from Michael's or wherever and it makes a nice gift. And that tin is so darn cute. You just wait - I bet the DD Girls will be doing something cute with those empty HodgePodge and Punch tins soon!
I want the punch, but not the stamps and I already have all the stampin' spots. I figure if I hold out, the punch should be in next year's catalog for $14.95, which sounds much better than spending $40 on mostly stuff that I don't want. But until I did the math, I was considering ordering it.
I'm definitely going to get it. I'm saving up the $ now (gotta save up at cash so hubby doesn't really know how much I spend on stamps!). I wanted to place a large order so it may take me awhile to get it. So cute!

The canadian price is $57.95. I think the punch is adorable and so are the matching stamps, but money is money and I think this is a bit overpriced. Would make a very nice gift, however!

Somebody please help me! I've seen all kinds of samples using the tag punch and stamps, but I can't find it in the catalog. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
I like the idea of the tag punches, but I already have those pads and the stamps don't thrill me. Thought I'd try a punch from Michaels, or maybe the "multi-tag tool" from The Lakeside Collection. I'm sure the quality won't compare to the SU set.
I love it I love it I love it! I finally got a chance to play with mine today and I LOVE IT!
Check out the gallery for it, some awesome stuff in there!

I have been wanting a tag punch for a long time so was very excited about the punch box...( I like to buy stuff that I can demo.) The price made me hesitate, but I finally ordered it and it will be here Thursday! I know I will use it alot, but not sure if my customers will purchase it as many are on a tight budget and will think it is too expensive. I would have prefered the set as stamps and punch, no ink spots and no box for a lot less money....
I just received mine today. I haven't tried it out yet, but I love the look of it and I can see many possibilities for it! I can't wait to get started.
