Default Do you get rid of Christmas sets??

I used Big on Christmas for my cards this year. I loved my cards, but it's a set that I don't think has a lot of potential for re-use because I would have trouble coming up with a layout that looked different enough for me to want to send them out again. So, do I get rid of it? B/S/T?? Ebay?? What have you done with used Christmas sets??

Get rid of sets? As in...give/sell them? Absolutely not, I'm hangin onto them, even ones I don't like, until my death bed, even then I'll be buried with my stamps

I agree with AmberDawn, I keep my sets and the old becomes new again.

i would also be willing to buy the set from you...

i, however, do not get rid of any of mine.

i think it is a matter of taste. i don't need to worry about what is current and stuff like that. i just make what like and if i liked a card a lot i made it again the next year. but i make more than one design each year.

I just listed mine on my blog. I get bored easily and like to make room for new. And if I ever mass produce a card---then i usually never want to see that stamp again!

Some I will keep forever tho because they are classics.

I do. I sell them I mean. There are some where I used some of the images and plan to do something different with others or I just plain don't want to get rid of them yet, but generally I do sell them.

I am a freak and once I do a whole bunch of cards with a Christmas set I'm over that set. It's not so bad with the other sets.

I generally sell things though. You would be shocked to hear how many SU sets I have at any given time.

I vote for selling it. Apparently there is interest too!

I only used two out of the three stamps. Only made 8 cards each. Don't feel I used the stamp set enough to get my moneys worth, you know what I mean.

There are lots of samples in the gallery. I am sure I can find a different layout, and using different paper or background stamp think I can make it work! Like I said, only made about 16 cards from the set, think I will give it another whirl!!!

This item is not retired yet. It is just on the dormant list. Which means it may come back in the Fall 08 book. I have it and love it. I used it for some of my cards this year. It makes for fairly quick cards!! I can't wait for the spring one in the Occassions Mini!!

I always keep my sets. Some time down the road I can use it again for christmas cards. There are always new ideas on how to use a set that comes along also!

I'm a rubber hoarder too!!!! I figure that I may just need that image (or another in the set) for the perfect scrapbook layout or gift item! Wouldn't that set be soooo cute on a chocolate bar slider or under a picture of my kids in the snow. How about this super cute candle by Michelle717! So very versatile.

{But then again, I still own almost every set that I've purchased since I've been stamping (12+years). But... I love em all and don't ever have to regret the one I let go!}

I sell mine once I use them, especially a Christmas set. I just can't see myself doing the same Christmas cards over again. I have this set too and need to sell mine .

I used to be a hoarder as well, but when I reached about 600 SU sets, I realized it was to the point of insane. To be honest, I have yet to really miss a set I've parted with. I always want to stamp with the latest stamps and I'm eager to get new cattys and make new purchases.

There are two kinds of stamps I almost never part with: snow related stamps of any kind, and hedgehogs.

I sell lots of sets that I know I won't use anymore but I never sell any Christmas sets. I make about 200 cards at Christmas and I love having a lot of variety to choose from. Some of the oldies are indeed goodies!
