A customer of mine just asked me about a technique she saw on at a craft show and she asked me if I knew about it and I didn't so I decided to come to the best people around and ask you...
She said the lady stamped a card with a clear something and then chalked over it. She said the image didn't show up at all until she started applying the chalk.
I was thinking it was Versamark but I wasn't 100% sure and I just would think that Versamark would be too sticky for applying chalk.
Nope! You were right....stamp with Versamark and chalk over. But, if you really want to 'wow' them....stamp with White Craft ink and then chalk....the white under the chalk really makes the colors 'Pop'!!! HTH

Do you let the ink dry before chalking or chalk it while wet? I saw the episode of DIY scrapbooking with the Versamrk technique but I like the thought of putting my craft pads to further use! TFS

You chalk while the ink is still wet. You can use different applicators for different looks. Q-tips or eyeshadow applicators give a real defined look. Use a cotton ball for a more "outside the lines" look.
Shelli Gardner has done a demo on this on "Scrapbooking" on DIY (TV). There was a rerun at noon (MST) today. They most likely have a description and photos on the DIY network website. Looked great!
