Stamping Cruise LOOT!
I just had to post a huge WHOO HOO about the goodie bags we got on the cruise! It is seriously worth more than the cost of the cruise! ALL new, unreleased sets from ALL the companies, ribbons, inks, Bella baubles, Just Rite Stampers, lots of Gina K. specialties, and the list goes on and on. Whew! It weighs 11 pounds!!!

Sounds like a great haul of goodies!! I am sooooo jealous!! My Mom and I were supposed to be on the cruise (we were in the first 100 to sign up and everything!). Ended up being 1 day too pregnant to go on the cruise this year due to the cruise line's regulations. Super excited we're adding a little girl to our family, but a tad disappointed I didn't get to have a girl's week with my Mom and some dedicated stamping time.

Just got home from the cruise! WOW did the ladies outdo themselves!
Highlights from the goodie bag:
1. From Gina K Designs
Koh-I-Noor pencils (beautiful with OMS - hadn't used these before), Metallic Mist (I could use this on just about *everything*), Sateen Flowers (soooo lovely).
They're here: http://www.shop.ginakdesigns.com/main.sc (then click on it's category - most can be found under New, I think)
2. From Nichole - Papertrey Ink
Stamps sets and ribbon! I have a ribbon fixation, and they all matchy-matchy with her CS and ink (big smile!) - and we got 50 yards! Yup! My other faves:Warm Happiness and Snowfall stamp sets. And the new Ripe Avocado color - just perfect!
Papertrey new stuff here: http://www.papertreyink.com/whats_new.html
Oooh, and we used Floral Frenzy stamp set a lot, loved it - may have to get that (I do need another flower set! Who knew?!)
3. From Em and Nicky - Stampingbella
Glitter Dots (click on Donuts and Dots category from link) - these make any card go WOW. Got a BUNDLE of these.
Peerless watercolors - v easy, and pretty results! Great for fast cards (click on Bella's favorite coloring tools)
Stampingbella is: http://stampingbella.com/
There were new stamps, too - but my camera got mislaid at the last port, meaning I can't upload without my camera. (Any cruisers have any pics of our stamping leaders they'd like to share?)
There was oodles more too - but I'm tired and must go to bed 'cause the kids still have school tomorrow and I have GOT to prep (after being gone a week).
But gotta add - AND we each got a Scor-Pal! Yes, we did! Will be ordering the Scor-Mat to go with it, and getting some Scor-Tape (used this, loved it!) too.
The cruise ROCKED!!!!!!
And I gotta tell you - it would've been soooooo worth it even without the mondo goodie bag. The heads of 3 amazing stamping companies taught classes to little ol' me! I learned bunches and lots and tons. Thank you ladies!!!!
Right, am really off to bed now (guess I should find and unpack toothbrush, first...).
G'night!

Is the cruise or was the cruise open to all or was it based on sales like the SU cruise?

It was open to all...the sign up was quite some time ago, and filled up fairly quickly if I remember correctly.
I *hope* they'll do another one...maybe I'll get to go next time around

I was really thrilled and happy with the generosity of our hostesses! The goodie bags were really beyond expectation. And they continued to give us stamp sets and prizes throughout the week.
They shared not only their stamps and materials with us, but also their time and creativity. I'm certain they gave up a lot of their leisure time on the cruise to prep, teach, and wrap up the classes.
My mom, aunt, daughter, and cousin were pretty novice stampers, and our hostesses were so kind and patient.
From all of us, thank you Nichole, Gina, Emily and Nicky!

Thank you for the amazing goodie bags - Gina, Nichole, Emily and Scor Pal! The cruise was a lot of fun. I just got home this afternoon and I'm still on a stamping high.
Here are some pictures.

My mom and I are also the proud owners of a Royal Caribbean tote bag. I was more than happy to pay the second bag fee.
I was also more than thrilled to meet Kim and have a Chocolate Martini with her.

Well thanks! I had an absolute blast, in large part to all the great new friends we made.
My guess is there will be other opportunities to stamp together again soon!

I have a question. Do you bring your own stamping projects to do or is it stamp school at sea? I read that classes were mentioned but I didn't know if a lot of the time was spent doing your own thing. With airlines regulations the way they are now, I wasn't sure how you could pack all your supplies in a very small bag.
Sounds like it would be tons of fun!

The cruise was a blast! The goodies were awesome, so many. I loved the classes and loved making the boxes, etc. I still have the boxes and their contents to finish up. Also, giving us paper instructions was great! I definitely would like to do this again! Thanks to all of the sponsors that gave gifts.

Not Enough Time
There is talk of another cruise in the future, but I think the ladies who hosted this are seriously worn out from this one! But they are discussing it!! WHOO HOOO!!

It was a ton of fun!
Em has some pics from the cruise on her blog - you'll see some stampers hard at 'work' during class!
http://stampingbella.com/blog/
Answering your questions:
1. It was more a stamp school at sea. We had stamping classes on days at sea and while cruising between ports (that is, in the evening). Three 1.5 hour classes from each of the 3 wonderful companies (you rock ladies!), plus a round robin night, and a wrap up/door prize night (and the all important meet and greet and get goody bag night at the beginning!).
I was feeling optimistic (delusional?) and of course brought my own stuff too but didn't do all that much with it. 'Course I had DH with me, too - if I'd gone with a stamping friend, I might've done more free time stamping.
2. Packing everything was a challenge but well worth it! And I could've made it easier on myself and just paid the extra $25 to check another bag (for goodies coming home). Instead I checked a bag and carried on a bag going out; then I checked a bag and carried on a "personal item" (big bag that kinda qualified as a purse, put under seat) and a "carry-on bag" (backpack that went in overhead compartment. I'd packed the additional bag flat in my suitcase going to the cruise.
(Btw, did you know that you can't carry on the cropadile to a plane? It's a tool longer than 7" and therefore not allowable. So we ended up checking an extra bag on the way to the cruise - DH's, put the cropadile in and went back to desk to check in add'l bag.)
Goodnight!
Susan

There were both - they had scheduled stamp classes for us - and there was a room available for any open stamping that we wanted to do. We took only the tools recommended on the stamping list - and didn't use half of them! Our 4 wonderful hostesses supplied nearly everything we needed for each stamping session! The only thing we NEEDED for every class was adhesive! I will definitely do this again!
