Stamping on clipboards?

Have you ever stamped on a clipboard? I am wondering if I could use the regular stamp pads I have or would I need to use stayz on or the craft pad? If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!
(I did a search but didn't come up with anything :( )
Thanks in advance! :)

Altered Clipboards....

Colleen:

I do altered clip boards. I guess I need to ask - are you going to be doing an altered clip board, or a specialty clip board? There *is* a difference!

An *altered* clip board is like any other altered art. (Taking an everyday clipboard and turning it into artwork with creative embellishments.) I have added card fronts, photos, fibers, fabric, glass. Most of mine I've covered first in either patterned or solid paper, stamped my "text", then added various embellishments depending upon the theme.

A *specialty* clipboard will serve a functional purpose as a clipboard (e.g. phone message center with paper/pencil; guest clipboards for workshops, photo-display board, etc.) I start by either spraying mine with *MATTE* black, white, or light beige (deep red or deep green if it's a holiday function board) spray paint. That gives me a start with a clean, dry, even-colored surface. Then I place on whichever elements are required for the specific "function." Then I either use Classic dye-based ink (rubber stamps) or matte-finish acrylic paint (foam stamps.)

Hope this info helps - check out my gallery if you'd like to see some of my *altered* boards.... ~ K
