Not sure what faux piercing is- unless it's just putting dots with a gel pen to make it look like you put a hole there, but you might be thinking of faux stitching. Which is piercing holes and then connecting them to make it look like you sewed it.

Could that be when you glue little metal embellishments on your nose and eyebrows to scare your mother???

Never heard of faux piercing. Maybe this link will help on paper piercing and faux stitching?
