Default stampin around jumbo wheel-how do you emboss?

They dont sell an embossing cartridge for the jumbo wheel. Is it ok to get an empty cartridge and fill it with the embossing refill?

Sure! I prefer VersaMark, though. That's how I made the Holiday Spirit card in my gallery that has the jumbo Swirling Stars embossed in gold!

I would use no cartridge. Put just the wheel in, then roll it over a craft or Versamark pad, then to the paper. If you are making cards, the paper is usually shorter than the wheel is long. If you are repeating the design, just roll over the pad before the paper each time. Hope this makes sense and helps!

thank you.
I already purchased the empty cartridge after noticing they didn't sell one. I'm planning on using it for a watermark effect, chalking and pearlex effects.

I would just save the empty cartridge and fill it with a color that SU! doesn't sell. Really, just run the wheel over the Versamark pad. I tried creating a Versamark cartridge for the regular wheel and it was a mess (white gunk in all of the ridges of the wheel when I rinsed it off) but that doesn't happen when you just roll the wheel over the pad. JMHO.

Yes, you can use the embossing ink refill on an empty jumbo cartridge. It's the same materials used in the standard one, just wider!

Versamark in a cartridge is trickier because the ink is thicker and doesn't absorb into the cartridge easily. When I want to use my cartridge, I reink it and then have to wait for it to absorb and I store it in a ziploc to reduce evaporation. However, if you're just doing a card front, then the suggestion to roll over the pad without a cartridge is the quickest, easiest way to do it.

Can't wait to see your results!
