Stampendous demos??
 

I was just wondering if Stampendous demos still existed. One of my friends use to be a Stampendous but she stopped about two years ago. I went on the Stampendous site and they have an option that shows what stores sell their products. There's none around me. I just wanted to check out a catalog to see if there was anything I was still interested in. I'm a SU! demonstrator but I was going through my box of "other" stamps and found a lot of Stampendous stuff that I still liked. Just wondered if demo's still existed and if there were any in Ohio.

Well, you've stumped me on this. I've been a fan of Stampendous for years, but NEVER knew they ever had specific demonstrators that went from store to store conducting demos!

Unless, I'm totally misunderstanding what you're describing???

Sorry for the confusion Julie. There demos don't go store to store. They conduct workshops just like us.....or at least they use to. I was in a stamper 10 group with my Stampendous demo friend but when she quit demoing, I quit buying. Just wondering if they still have demo's or if they strictly sell in stores.

WOW! I NEVER realized Stampendous had a demonstrator program! Well, learn something new every day, huh?! ;) Interesting!

I think I'm going to contact Stampendous directly and see if they can tell me anything.

The only product of theirs I have noticed is the Embossing Powder. Which I have bought at Meijers and I think they have it at Micheals too.

Interesting...I work in a scrapbook store and am in on the ordering of stamps. Stampendous is probably one of our largest suppliers, along with Hero Arts. We have a sales rep, who has many craft product lines, call on us. I wish we did have someone who could provide us with samples...we are just getting started and I can't do a sample of everything.

Looks like they sell retail only now. A stamp store (California Stampin') near me sells them and they also do online orders. If you can't find the stamps anywhere else try their website:

They don't show stamps on their website, so look thru the Stampendous online catalog, get the item numbers and Suzanne will order and send to you. Their store has some examples with Stampendous stamps, those holiday "fluffles" the cat ones are so cute (I'm not a cat person though - wish they had something similar with a dog).

I did a search and found this. The copyright date at the bottom is 2002 and the home page is gone, so it sounds like they don't do this anymore.

Thanks for looking ladies! I'm glad you found some info.2002 was about the time that my demo friend stopped selling. That's too bad. I really liked being able to have a workshop and earn free products. Plus the prices were really really good.

Your demo may not have been contracted by Stampendous! When I first started out as a demo, I was my own boss. No upline, etc. I ordered from Stampendous! and Hero Arts and had stamp parties. I just sold their products but did not have a contact with either. I was just a wholesale customer to them. But that was WAY back in 1989 before stamping had really hit the retail stores big.

That was me, too, Ann. I had an online stamping business years ago and carried Great Impressions, Stampendous and a few other smaller lines, plus accessory items through a wholesale distributor.

I remember when this gal started Elderberry Knoll; I don't think it lasted very long. Stampendous doesn't really care how you want to sell the stuff. They do try to avoid obvious "purchasing clubs" per se, but as long as you have a business license and can order their minimums, they'll sell to you at wholesale.

I was at Meijers here today and they had some of the Stampendous Stamps also.
