Stamp Pad Holders
Hi
I was wondering what evryone uses for holding their stamp pads? I have seen the SU one, and it really doesn't excite me. I want one that will hold pens + refills too. The SU one doesn't hold enough- only 48, what about the neutrals and crafts, stazon, versamark etc. ?
I have seen some wooden + acrylic ones online but it's hard to tell, and alot of sites no longer carry those items.
Any suggestions?
By the way this site is great, wonderful ideas, beautiful cards, and great demo info!

I lucked out last year and found a wooden cassette holder that holds 48 for only $1.25 at a local thrift shop ~ a few weeks ago I bought one for $2.00 that holds 100. I keep my markers in the case and the ink refills I have in a spice rack that I have hanging on the wall. I am hoping that this summer I can find a larger spice rack at a yard sale/thrift shop... fingers crossed.

Try this link. http://www.sixxle.com/content.php?se...s&offset=start
I have had wonderful service from Sixxle.com each time I have used them. I have a bunch of items in my shopping cart with them right now - just waiting to click the order button! I highly recommend this company.

Storage units, Ink. also has some very nice wood units for holding pads, markers, and reinkers. Some models also hold wheels, etc. They have units that hold 48 or 60 pads. I ordered mine but haven't received it yet, but I have heard only good things about them.
http://www.suink.net
Another product I have seen is from Stamp N Store, but it does not hold the markers as far as I know. http://www.stampnstore.com/index.htm
Hope this helps.

I have the Ultimate Plus with drawers from suink. I love it! DH got it for me for Christmas. It didn't arrive until Jan 10th, but I didn't care. It is so awesome and holds everything I could ever want. I currently have my hole punches hanging from the dowels as I only own a few wheels and not sure if they should be out in the light. It is expensive but so beautiful, especially stained. I wanted to fit all my stamp pads in something including neutrals as well as my metallics and Versamark. I have my pastels and watercolor pencils in the slot.

I have had the same issues as you. I was frustrated at what I did find. That is when my DH made me this:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=17939
I at one point ordered one from SU Ink but sent it back. I personally (JMO) thought it was too big and too heavy for my stamping space! They are very nice to talk to, just not what I needed.
This helps keep my space organized and everything at my fingertips.

My ds is making one for me in his construction class ... ink pads with reinkers next to them ... but shaped more like the SU! holder. Then I'll buy a lazy suzan to rest it on. Can't for it to be done!

I just got mine last week from an ebay store called craft solutions. I'm thrilled with it. I bought a second unit as well for other things like EP's, punches etc.... Mine are wall mounted and a great space saver.

For Christmas DH bought me a literature orgainzer from an office supply store. It has 21 compartments meant to hold paper .
I can easily fit 4 SU stamp pads in each slot so this leaves room for chalks, markers, etc. I am eventually going to have a sponge for each color stored right with the pads.
I store my favorite stamps on top.
I like it a lot. The only problem was the slots were too long, so I stuffed them with plastic bags. This was an easy solution and I am very happy with my stamp pad storage.

Lisa,
I just LOVE the stamp pad holder your DH made. The thing I like best about it is that it doesn't turn. I've saved it to my fav's for inspiration for my new stamp/scrap room. Thanks for sharing

That's why I love the one from Sixxle.com - you can mount it on the wall as it comes with wall hangers already attached!

Try www.zaneswoodworks.com. I got 2 ink pad holders as well as a ribbon/wheel combo from him. I am VERY pleased with them. Very simple and perfect for what I need. His wife is a demo, so he knows what we need. Great service, very friendly guy. He calls you and lets you know when he is going to ship, then he charges your credit card. They are made to order, he doesn't have a ton of them pre-made, so you have to wait, but not long.

I have the DVD holder from IKEA - it mounts on the wall and fits the pads perfectly. Plus it's cheap - less than 5 dollars. Each one holds about 17 pads, I think - I have one for each color family and one for the neutrals. I have a photo of it in my gallery (which I haven't updated in a while - I don't have any of my latest projects in there! Need to get on that....)

I bought the large stackable storage container that someone here posted about that her DH had created for Target. I love it! I'm really thinking about getting the cart that goes with all the storage containers too.

Thanks for all the great links! I just ordered the Wall Unit Plus from www.suink.com They just wrote saying it would be 15 days till it ships. I just can't wait I just bought all 4 sets of the ink pads and I'm lovin' having all the colors but it's a real pain in the patootie to have to get them out of the boxes they came in. I'm ready to get organized

I liked these Ikea ones, too, but they weren't available to me, so i printed out some pictures from the gallery, and my uncle made me some...5...and I had him do them for only 12 ink pads...my mom called and said he dropped them off..I am DYING to get my inky hands on them..Mom told him he could make $$ if he wanted to, and he said even though they were cheap to make, they were a pain in the butt...now I feel bad, I may want one more!
