Red face To stamp or not to stamp. That is my question...

This seems like a stupid question, but as a perfectionist who tends to overdo, I need to know. Does anyone decorate or stamp the back of your cards with anything other than your "hand stamped" info? For example, If I'm doing a card and stamping Linen as a bg, stamp front only or front & back? Just wondered...

Thanks

Really, I just stamp the front, BUT depending on how the card is going to be used, I may use a small coordinating stamp on the back (bottom/center), rather than a "handstamped by" stamp just to add a little variety and whimsy.

I only do the hand stamped by thng on the back, but I always stamp my envelope to match my card. I try to do something very subtle on the front where I address the card--sort of a shadow in the background.
I do something a little more noticeable on the back flap.
Just enought to make it special to the recipient.

I only stamp the front and use the hand stamped by only on the back. I like the idea of maybe adding a little something to the back though.

I like to stamp the front of the envelope to match the card as well as put the stamped by: at the back.

Personal preference. I just do the front and inside and my signature stamp no the back. but sometimes, a little ditty on the back is a cute idea

Default yes on back and envelope

I stamp "be happy!" on all my cards- in an ink that goes with the card. Then I sign it "handmade by Makani Sept 06" (or whatever month/year) again in a complementary or matching ink. I also am getting into putting other messages or stamp decorations on the back. Like on the back of my autumn cards, I did a couple of stamped off fall color squares under my "be happy".

If the card was made with someone especially in mind... or if I picked out the card for someone specific- I write "made especially for <name of person> by Makani September 27, 2006". If it's someone's birthday or anniversary or wedding the added date makes it more of a keepsake.

On envelopes- I stamp along the bottom of the front and back of the cards. Like I run a roller of ornaments on Christmas season envelopes or flowers or dogs chasing a truck... what have you.

I saw someone's card recently that had the inside of the envelope- the part where you can see it when you lift the flap- stamped with a nice design. It was very chic.

I say have fun- go all out.... you are the artist so let the world see the you a little bit more through the backside of the card!

I have a friend who stamps her initials on the back in a monogram type, you know, with the first initial of the last name in a big font in the middle os two smaller initials.
