I highly recommend Ultra Clean. It goes a long way on the stamp pad! You can get it at Archiver's or www.inkyantics.com. It is just the best!

Thank you I'll give it a try....but i wondered if there is anything in the home that you can use that won't harm your stamps, like Mr. Clean or something?

I just bumped a cleaning recipe to the top of the list. Check it out. I am going to make some tomorrow.

Simple Green mixed with water works well - just follow the mixing ratio on the bottle. I've been doing 10:1 (H2O:SG), at least since I found out I'm supposed to be using it as is! My sister uses Windex and Sparkle window cleaners - a lady at a stamp convention recommended that. Somewhere on SCS is also a recipe for homemade cleaner. I'll see if I can find it. HTH

Sorry. Go to techniques and look for stamp cleaning recipe. Had to go look and see where the thread was.

Baby wipes are good. Just make sure that what ever you use doesn't have alcohol in it. It'll dry out the stamps and they'll get hard and crack.

Baby Wipes work great... no alcohol and include natural conditioner for the stamps. They must be dried off... but you can use them until they dry.

A drop of Pantene 2 in 1 conditioner (or two drops, however you like it) and fill your bottle with water. Shake well. Works like a charm!

I was thinking too of what you use and there you are!!

Also, I have fallen in love with Ultra Clean which TAC also sells but labeled under their own name. When stamping with me sister a couple of weekends ago, I litterally sprayed my scrubber with 3 spritzes at 8:30 am and it was still going strong after 9 pm that night. So a little goes a long way. I am now sold on it. But I think my sister swiped it as I can't find it in my things! Okay, most likely its burried in my things. But needed to clean a stamp today, just added some water and it reactivated the UC. STILL cleaned my stamps wonderfully.

I have used the samples of make up remover that comes in the "free gifts" that sometimes come with make up purchases. I try not to use the kind that separates into two compounds and needs to be shaken, but I use the ones that are clear and non-separating. I figure if it's good enough for my skin, it'll be ok on my stamps. I've never had any ill effects and it works really well. Better yet, it's free... cuz I had it sitting in my makeup drawer collecting dust!

I'm probably bad but I used watered down vinegar window cleaner.
