Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm doing it 100% correctly, but once I stamp the image, I use a soft bristle toothbrush with some dishwashing detergent (tiny amount) and clean it off well. I then use the Stampin' Mist and Scrub Pad to clean it again (I believe the mist keeps it from drying out).

Hopefully people with more bleaching experience can let us know if there is a better way, but so far, this has worked for me !!

HTH,
Myra

I ink my stamp in Versamark first and then in the bleach. The Versamark helps protect the rubber. I don't re-Versamark with each bleached image. When I'm done I wipe the stamp off with a baby wipe to get the bleach off and then clean on my stampin scrub.

I use lots of bleach and I just rinse. I have never had it hurt a stamp. It actually cleans the stamp nicely and I also like to wipe it on my scrubber as it whitens it.

I always stamp on the versamark or embossing ink pad first to coat the stamp. After stamping the bleach I immediately stamp onto a folded paper towel soaked in a vinegar/water mix. Vinegar acts as a neutralizing agent and will stop the bleaching action. Then, when I'm all done with my project I give the stamps a good rinsing off with water. Just a good rinsing might be good enough but after I've invested so many $$$ in my stamps it seems worth the extra effort to do the vinegar step.

I LOVE this site! I just tried the tip I learned the other day using the versa mark to coat your scissor before cutting your stamps apart (WORKS GREAT!) and now using it to coat the stamp before bleaching....what CAN'T the versa mark pad be used for!!! I love learning from you all!!
