I spray mine with a clear acrylic matte spray. Ink comes right off. I spray both sides, that way I don't have to worry about mounting the rubber on the wrong side.
I spray mine, or rather my DH does, (rubber side only) with Krylon crystal clear acrylic spray. It dries quickly and I recommend applying two coats. Be sure to spray in a well-ventilated area and let dry about 15 minutes before applying second coat.
Although I haven't tried it yet, I believe it would work on sealing tiles also.
I don;t seal mine but I have thought about it since I tend to get an icky mess going after a few uses!! Messy stamper I guess!!
But....I read on a thread here somewhere that if you do seal the wood it actually voids the warrenty on the stamp - I don't know if this is true or not so something to think about!! I decided to not take the chance
Yes, I do mine with spray or brush-on varnish. It keeps them looking nice and makes clean-up easier. I do workshops with 15 people every other month and it cuts down on my clean-up time.
If I didn't seal them my stamps would look pretty bad after 15 people stamped with them!

Thats wierd... why would sealing wood hurt the stamp? That doesn't make sense.
