Default Spray adhesive & foam board

Ok...this really has nothing to do with stamping. But, I know you ladies are crafty so I am hoping you can help me out. I need to make some 11x17 signs. I am printing on regular paper & adhering to foam board to make them sturdier. I bought spray adhesive but was shocked by how much it was :o I am wondering if there is anything cheaper I can use. Will a glue stick work? TIA!

Default Xyron

I have a Xyron that will take regular size paper. The machines and cartridges are on sale frequently at the big box stores, or you can use the 40% off coupons to bring down the price. I think it's a Xyron 900.

If you don't need to cover all of the back of your paper, the cheapest would probably be double stick tape. I don't trust glue sticks for much of anything, but that's just me.
Hope this helps.

Rubber cement was the adhesive of choice for putting together presentation boards when I was taking interior design studios in grad school -- you can get a small jar/can for around two or three dollars, and it goes a really long way!

I'd splurge for the spray adhesive. I use it quite a bit on signs and larger projects because it's so reliable and easy to use. A little goes a long way - just a light mist over the entire board (or even around the edges) will give you a strong bond with most sprays. I like 3M products the best.

Michael's sells the Aileens Spray Tacky...this stuff is great, goes a long way and I use it for my unmounted stamps too!

After mounting a lot of stuff for displays, I have to say I'd go for the spray mount even if it costs a bit. It lasts well, and one can should go a long way.

Ditto. Or you can purchase Foam Core with one side adhesive. It's more expensive, but works great!

Spray Adhesive, no contest. Just spray outdoors if possible or if not somewhere with good ventilation if you're spraying very much. Put down newspaper around where you are spraying to catch the drift. Use a very light spray, you don't have to saturate it. Buy a small can. It goes a long way.
