Default Still unblocking wooden stamps...

Well, I discovered while working with the stamps I'd put Aleene's Tack It Over and Over that some weren't sticking as well, and then I remembered that I diluted the glue on some of them. So tonight I went back over them again with the ATIOO, nondiluted. I noticed on one of the blogs, that the poster said she used the Aleene's Tacky Glue first and then the ATIOO. I wonder if that makes any difference. Some of mine stuck really well, and it was a nice tug of war, but so happy they stuck so well. Just had to redo them, because I diluted glue on some.
Guess I will make another remote holder out of the leftover blocks, like I did the last time I unmounted some stamps. I glued the blocks together and then painted them hunter green. I can't remember the glue I used though. Got rid of it a long time ago. Also thought for someone that had kids, the blocks could be glued together to make barbie furniture; couch, chair etc... and painted pretty colors.

I tried to water down the TIO&O for a few stamps as an experiment and I didn't like the outcome either. For the price of the glue, and the amount you use on a stamp, I wouldn't bother trying this again. If you have a thick layer of the TIO&O on your stamp it will be really sticky. I use my fingers to apply the glue and spread a really thin layer. Its really messy, but kind of fun too. You can stick the stamp to your clothes or your skin a couple times first to take away some of the tackiness from the glue. It won't be quite the struggle then to get them to release from your storage sheets or blocks. I don't know about putting regular tacky glue on the back of the stamp first. I don't know what the purpose would be, but if it worked, great. The only thing I can think of is if they let the regular tacky glue dry first, then that would leave a smooth surface for the TIO&O. Just a guess though.

That's what I was thinking to; that it was just to give it a smoother surface to apply the ATIOO to. I bought some Durable Write-On Plastic Dividers from Walmart that fit into a three ring binder. I thought about using them to adhere my foam stamp to, and keeping them in a binder. I think it was three something for eight of them. They are colored and a thicker plastic with tabs to write on. Will try it and let you know if it works well.
Thanks for the input. I am spazzing a little bit about storage right now. I want my room to be more organized.

That's basically how I store mine. If you want to take a look at a blog post I did about my stamp storage, here is a link to the post: Cat's Stamp Storage

Thanks for sharing your blog. I like your storage ideas! Also, Mitzy is adorable!!!
I found some scrapbook portfolios at Biglots today. They were the large ones with expanding pockets that hold 12x12 paper with a zipper that encloses the whole thing. They were on clearance for $ 2.50 a piece; bought 2. I am just leaving my clear stamps on their packaging and slipping them into the expanding pockets; dividing them into categories. It has tabs to label each pocket. Going to keep my CTMH stamps in their pouches and in an open small crate. Going to store my rubber stamps in the cd cases and adhereing my foam stamps to plastic divider pages in a binder. The plastic divider pages look almost exactly like the ones you have dividing your stamp sections in your binder. Going to try it and see how it works.
Doing an experiment. Coated some of my foam stamps with Aleene's Tacky glue first and then applying the ATIOO to see if it makes any difference. I put some of the tacky glue on too thick, and it was fun pulling the dried glue from the stamp! (NOT!) But I am letting them dry overnight and will see how they do. It does make a smooth surface to paint the TIOO with, but the tacky glue needs to be really thin. It dries a lot quicker if it's thinner also.
