Default Soccer coach thank you gift idea?

My daughter is 6 years old and has a very active team as you can imagine. Her coaches are a husband and wife team who have been very patient and lovingly guided them through their season. We still have a couple weeks of the season to go but I would like to make them a thank you gift. Obviously I "need" to get the soccer set but would love some inspiration from you ladies.

Just a side not the dad is VERY into soccer and plays on the Air Force adult soccer league.

Usually they already have a lot of soccer stuff so maybe find out what their other likes are? Unless of course you know of anything specific they want, need, or like. If they enjoy good food, maybe a gift cert to their favorite restaurant.

I love stamping and scrapbooking and would love to teach. Lets say I do teach I don't know if I want to get a scrapbook/stamp gift cause I'm so particular. Unless it's something that I specifically want, I hope to not get a gift in scrapping/stamping. I was given some papers and stickers. Still have them. Not sure what to do with the paper yet and I don't use stickers except for rub-ons.

But, it might just be me... maybe I'm weird or difficult

My DH has coached 15 soccer teams and 12 baseball teams over the last 6 years and I have been team mom for all but 1 of them. While he has appreciated the personal gifts, the consumable ones have been used and enjoyed (by him and by me!).

If you really want to make something, what about putting together a CD of the girls pictures and decorating the case? You still have time to do an amazing amount of pictures! It would still be personal, but wouldn't be hard to store.

Just my thoughts.

The coaches daughter is on the team as well. What do you think of this idea. If I get a picture of the two of them with their daughter print it out on sepia tone, use it as a background, and do a name frame on top for a keepsake?

Are you going to lower the opacity on the photo or keep it the way it is? How's the name going to be visible?

How about a paint can with some movie passes and popcorn or something inside. I like the name frame thing too.

I was rethinking this idea and thinking maybe have the picture on one side and their name on the other of a long frame. Their name is not that long.

The picture thing sounds awesome! My son's baseball coaches are young guys so for their end-of-the-season gifts, they got gift certificates to Dairy Queen - they were thrilled!

We did a team picture in an acrylic frame from Michaels. I stamped the name in staz on and used the soccer ball from sporting goods.

I just had to share my finished product with everyone. Thanks for all your advice this is what I decided to go with. I am also going to make a Thank you card to go with it and have the team sign it.

I made a little brown paperbag scrapbook for my son's coach a couple of years ago and it was a hit. My husband didn't think much about it because it was a "paperbag" and somewhat embarrassed that I couldn't afford a real book- I told him it was the think behind it- paperbag for outdoors. I snapped pictures during the whole season of various kids in different positions.
