What do you mean by bad? I'm not staying there, but I'm from here. They are demo'ing the building across the street, it doesn't look pretty... but are you talking about noise level?

Someone had posted a few says ago about the entrance to the Hyatt being all screwed up and there was a temporary entrance on the side... just wondering what's the scoop?
We're at the Hyatt with no problems! They are actively demoing across the street, but no problems with that. We were dropped off at what seems to be a temporary "main" entrance, but no difficulties, and the door closest to the Convention Center is free and clear (though it seems to be the smoker's hangout!).
It's a nice quick walk and so far the hotel's been great! We've got a mountain view (and some city) and can see the Convention Center easily. Fun to sit up here while everyone's milling! And DH (who just wants to RELAX for once!) is thrilled!

Thanks for the update Heather. How long does it take you to get from there to the convention center (inside)?
I love the walk. It's out a door, cross the street and you're there. Rooms are very nice. My remark this morning to my roommates was the lack of noise from other people staying in the hotel. I don't hear my neighbors and there's no hallway noise.
And after three other people showering this morning, the fourth person still had a hot shower!
I am at the Hyatt also. Only two more days!!!! I am so ready. Anyone going to the SCS dinner and want to share a cab? Just PM and I'll send you my cell#
It is literally across the street. Walk out the side door, turn left, cross the street and you're in the convention center.
Yeah, I think it takes longer to walk through the convention center than to it! It really is as convenient as you can get. I'm very glad we're staying here!
As for noise we've heard a little... Nothing outrageous though. I always hope for "soundproof" rooms in hotels, but I'd say this is pretty par for the course for nice chain hotels. Gotta say the pull out table/desk in our room is coming in handy for late night stamping.

Ok, I meant about how long will it take to go from your room to inside of the convention center to where you need to be? Clear as mud? lol
I'd say five minutes from room to seat.
