Default Smart Cushion??

Is this cling just as good as EZ Mount?? I see they have it at Heritage Farms. Please let me know what you think. I'm in the process of unmounting all my large background stamps to save space.

Thanks,
Robyn

Robyn that is a great idea! Well I love the wood but to save some space that sounds awesome! I would like to know the answer to your question too! I might just have to do this or prehaps give it a try with the bg's that I already have that are not mounted yet!

I've already unmounted some today using the EZ mount and I can fit 4 of the backgrounds in 1 SU plastic container. It is going to save me 3/4 the space!!

I just ordered it from CHF so I will let you know how I like it. I think it was only $3.14 for an 8x10 sheet. I also got free shipping for my order over $25. I know it's not as big as the 8 1/2 x 11 but I was throwing away a strip anyway.

I stick my unmounted BGs right on the back of mounted ones. The EZ Mount clings to the sticker. So all my retired BGs are now double sided

That is awesome! I am concerned about out weight limit with the next move so I need to start thinking about some of these options!
How well do they stamp after unmounting them? With BG stamps that Is my biggest concern is how they will stamp.

I have some of the CHF unmounted backgrounds. I have found that when I use them on an acrylic block I can never seem to get even pressure. I find they stamp better when I just lay them on top of my paper and press- then I get a great image.

Jeanne so you kept some mounted and add one to the other side with ez mount? right.......do you remove the ezmount one and store elsewhere or on the actual block all the time?

I have a bunch of SU retired BGs. I just stick the unmounted BGs (mine are from CHFs) that have EZ mount on the backs of the wood mounted BG.

My biggest problem with unmounteds are hunting down the blocks. This way I have the block attached

Thanks, Jeanne, for the great idea. I want to get rid of as much bulk as possible so I will be chucking or giving away all my BG blocks. I am saving mega space!! I have one acrylic BG block and I will just keep it close to my UM BG stamps.

Since I always lay my paper down on top of the rubber-up stamp that's on the desk, it doesn't really matter if it's mounted on wood, acrylic, or anything for that matter. I seldom use any foam mounting on my um stamps...just "nekkid" rubber.

Well, most of mine are "nekked" right now. I unmounted ALL of them in about 25 minutes. I only have the foam mount on 4 of them. I'll have to see what I prefer. I've already ordered the mount but I might use it on something else. I've also unmounted two of my SU sets. I can't believe I did it!! BUT, I am open-minded and I might end up doing it to all. What a space saver. Plus, when I go to crops I can take many more sets with me!!
