I always find myself running out of the colors I need. I tried buying SU! color family packs, but there's only 3 sheets of each color in the 8 1/2 x 11. It seems a waste to buy just one-color packs, except for black, choc chip, vanilla, etc. I try to 'stock up' when Michaels, JoAnns and Hobby Lobby puts there's on sale, but they always seem to be out of stock on colors I want. So I'm wondering how everyone else buys their cardstock? Do you purchase online, in-store, from SU!, etc??
I buy all the basics from SU; I'll start with the families then order individual packs of the ones I find I'm using. I try to get my decorative paper wherever I can find some I like. HTH.
I actually buy most of my paper crafting supplies from on-line stores or SU! because I only have big box stores around me and they're a bit of a drive.
I have four different kinds of cardstock in my stash. I like Prism Papers, SU! Cardstock, Papertrey Ink and Basic Grey or Bazzill (they usually carry this stuff in the big box stores). If you are interested in trying out Prism or Bazzill, my friend Cathy sell some nice color sets in her on-line store Paper Garden Projects. I just got the Prism Classic Christmas set and it's really nice. Here are some links -
I also like that she carrys the Neenah cardstock in white and off white because I use that with my Copic markers. For whites, I have three brands -
Neenah, SU! and Papertrey Ink.
You really can't go wrong with any of these brands. Nice quality and pretty colors

Exactly what I do...you find the colors you love and use alot and those you hardly touch...and then you always have a few sheets of those you dont use alot for mats etc
My major stash is SU. I split packs of SU cs that I don't use much with a friend to minimize costs. When I purchase cardstock at my LSS, Archivers (I think they sell Bazzil, not sure)... I try to make sure I purchase a sheet of DSP to coordinate. I purchased a multi pack from PTI but haven't used any yet. They seem to be going the same way as SU in the coordinating ribbon, paper, ink and Copic 'trios' instead of waterbased markers. The major thing for me is to keep my cs visible and easily accessible.

I buy 99.9% SU. I bought one family one time about four years ago when I was just starting to stamp. Too many colors I didn't use. I have about 20 different packs of SU paper. I really like only a limited amount of colors. I'm big on brown/pink combos, brown/blue, yellow/gray celery/pink. I have some of the in-colors. I have basics like red, black, white, kraft, and vanilla. Bravo Burgundy, Almost Amethyst, Night of Navy, Almost Navy, Elegant Eggplant, Sage Shadow and Mellow Moss round out my collection. There really are not any other colors I want. These do it for me. I have bought textured orange for Halloween at Hobby Lobby. I'm not big into SU DP...I have a few I adore like Sweet Slumber. I like cosmo cricket and Amy Butler DP along with a few others. It doesn't seem like a waste as I ALWAYS have the colors I need and they eventually get used up. No waste going on all...they are just on HOLD waiting to be used.
