Default Paper questions

I have a couple very rudimentary questions about paper/cardstock.

What weights/materials (an example would be linen v mulberry) do you prefer?? and why??

my next question is about the size of images. (I have terrible concept of size and distance, so please excuse my silly questions)

Is there a "typical" size that most stamped images will top out at?? I am thinking of the image for a focal point.

I am asking this question to get a better idea of how to size digital stamps. I also think it could help me to figure out what size paper punches or nestabilities to buy.

I generally use the Wausau Exact Index 110# cardstock for my card bases and for printing digis. Its a nice weight cardstock. Its a plain white smooth card. If I'm making a single layer card, I use Domtar Cougar super smooth bright white 130# cardstock. It works beautifully with copics and no bleed through so you don't see the ink on the inside of the card. I usually only do A2 sized cards (4.25 x 5.5 - 1/4 fold) cards, so the biggest I normally print out an image is about 2.75". That leaves enough room if I want to do a couple mats around the image.

Hope that helps a little...

That is exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you!
