I have done swaps in a few eBay groups before, but am currently in my first few here on SCS. Mostly i have only ever swapped card candy (though i used to call them 'page accents' LOL).
I still remember my first swap- Spring... it was to fill a 12x12 page in a scrapbook, and i made mats, titles, embellishments LOL i went so overboard, i think about 4 pages worth were there. And my Swapper had the same ideas i did- i got a ton of ribbon, brads, all types of pretty things- and Primas. i had never seen Primas before and since that swap, i have been hooked! LOL
so spill, what was your first swap hosting or participating?
what did you make?
i am looking at my Primas and getting nostalgic here

I quit doing swaps a couple of years ago because of the things that were returned...Then I tried a year ago on another board...
OMGosh, I must really be a snob...it was embellishments, I signed up for ribbon and threw in dew drops, jeweled brads and flowers...3 yard lengths of May Arts silk and grosgrain stripes, good brads, 3 colors of dew drops and prima flowers in the itty bitty sizes and polka dots...Everyone signed up for different things, die cuts, brads, chip board cuts ... all the good stuff...what I got back for aweful and I threw most of it out! Stickers that looked they should be for kids to play with, the die cuts were copy paper, the ribbon was something left from who knows what and a bunch of buttons that no one whould ever use! The chip board cuts were cardboard...not usable!
After this, I swore off swaps...I will send to folks I know who need, but I won't spend money to get junk back...

My first swaps were on a scrapbooking site called Scrapping Friends. I believe it was an 8 1/2 x 11 recipe swap. It was so much fun to get things back, and I've been swapping ever since, probably about 4 years now. I do have to stop because it's getting too expensive.
My first was an ATC swap hosted by Tracy Durcan. That was sometime last spring I think. I was only a newbie back then and I'm sure mine were horrible compared to the other girls. But I still had fun!!!
