Silly card size question...

I have never made any cards anything other than the normal 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 or a flip flop shape. Can you believe that? I'm wanting to branch out and would like to do a square card. What size is a square card usually? TIA!!! ~Lorie

I would say that the size of your square card would have to be a size that would fit in your square envelope. I have two different sizes of square envelopes, so before I start cutting the 8 1/2 X 11" cardstock I hold the CS over the envelope and make a mark with a pencil at the point where I would want the fold first.....then the next mark would be the lower edge of the card (making sure it fit into the envelope) then the next mark is the other side of the card. So one for the fold and two for the outter edges of the card...get it? Just make sure you don't cut at the fold line or Ooops!
You'll get two squares.
Hope this helps.

I've been thinking about this

what is the normal size of a card? and do you use a bone folder to crease? I haven't looked at cards in the store to see what the "normal" size of a prepackaged card is..thanks.
