I'd be interested in this, too. Right now I use my deckle blade but it doesn't look just right. And since I invested in the postage (dot) stamp and template, I might as well have all the right tools!

There is a stamp for that? I have just been printing the pre-made template from the tutorial here on SC onto US white CS and then made my own template from an acetate sheet. Where did you find that?

I got mine at Walmart ... they are made by creative moments or something like that ... they were $1.98. The Fiskars are about $6.00. As for the stamp ... I just use microsoft word and made my own templates ... that way I can get it the size I want for the stamp I want to use.

If you have the Archiver's savers card - then it is probably cheaper to get them there - unless of course you can get the 40% off coupon for Michael's out of the ad!! Depends on what you get.

The ones I have are called Postal by Fiskars. I got them in that big tub of scissors that Costco was carrying this Christmas.

beware of the cheaper scissors...I have found you don't get a clean cut and as time goes on they just tear at the paper. I don't buy alot of scissors but the ones I get I invest in with Fiskers. my 2 cents

I got the Fiskars at Michael's (called "Stamp") and after the 25% off, they were $2.99.

And there's a stamp...by whom??

I also have some called postage, buy Fiskars. They were like 2.99 on sale 25% off one time at Meijer. They were pink handled. They are hard to find though, or they were when I was looking.

Several ladies asked about the stamps I have---they are by Just for Fun and I picked them up at the convention in Rockford IL this last fall. They are the "dots" that separate the stamps and are a little picky to use. You have to be careful inking them up so you don't get ink in the middle and get the dreaded "shadow". I should nuke them to get the rubber off and cut out the middle but I just haven't done it. The company also has these little plastic sheets that cover up the "dots and the outside of the stamped image (kind of like a mask technique) so you can stamp in the open areas without hitting the dots. The stamps were $12 at the convention and I've only tried them a couple times---but if I can get creative, I think they'll be worth the $$.

If anyone is totally confused, I can take a picture and post it.

I agree. I bought some cheapies at Michaels a while back and they just don't cut as well.

I found "postage scissors" at Hobby Lobby. They were an "off" brand for 99 cents. Decided I had nothing to lose so tried them. They are great! Nice and sharp with a clean cut. I've used them a lot!

I will post a photo of the stamps and template tonight when I get home from work. It's hard to explain in words......I'm such a visual person myself.

I took a photo of my faux postage stamps and template this morning along with a card I made with them. They are still "pending approval" but should be there shortly. Check it out in my gallery (my signature has the link). If you have any questions, drop me an email!

It's snowing, cold, and windy (40-50 mph) here in Central IL this morning.....a great day to play in the stamp room!
