I placed an order with Joann.com last week and they ship with UPS Sure Post, where UPS does most of the shipping and then leaves it with your post offfice for final delivery (same as FedEx Smart Post). When I order online, I always have it shipped to my work address, because someone is always there to sign for packages and they are delivered inside, so I know the goodies aren't sitting on my doorstep to tempt the neighborhood
My local UPS ALWAYS catches those packages and doesn't take them to the post office - the tracking shows "UPS will be in your area today and we will deliver your package", which usually means I get them a day early. And today is Presidents' Day and there's no regular mail delivery, but I get my package anyway!
Wow, you are really lucky your employer is nice enough to allow employees to have personal mail/packages delivered at work. All of the companies I have worked for would give you a written warning the first time and the second time was a fireable offense.

Yes, I'm pretty lucky - not just for that reason. It's a pretty nice place to work; the owner remembers what is was like to work for someone else and tries to not repeat the parts he hated. We're all paid a pretty fair wage - enough to live on plus enough for a little fun, and he tries to make sure that we have time to have that fun! Most of us have personal packages delivered here. It's just so much less likely to go missing. Also easier to keep people at home from discovering their gifts

Yes, That is so nice! I worked for a family agency for 14 years. Our office was in a house. I had many a SU pkg delivered there! My new employer, probably would be okay with it too!

So THAT'S why my Joann order is so slow! My post office delivers them, Not UPS. It always seems to take 2 weeks to get my Joann orders. I LOVE UPS...always fast deliveries, especially from Amazon.

Amazon is pretty interesting. My latest order is coming USPS and the tracker says it's coming the 25th but I am guessing that Carpe Diem(who is the shipper) will get it here a lot quicker...I think it is to their benefit to pick the latest date and expect me to be happy when it comes early and I do my review....but the rub is,I would much more appreciate knowing the exact date it's coming so I can plan accordingly.
Did you buy from Amazon or from Carpe Diem? When I ordered on Carpe Diem website, their shipping was FAST. 2 days, I think.
My son gifted me on his Amazon Prime, and almost everything I order arrives in 2 days.

That's the thing...I actually think it will get here in a couple days but they are just telling me 10 so I will give them a good rating on Amazon. The item I ordered was not in the Carpe Diem store so I could only get it thru Amazon which also seemed odd since it's being sent via Carpe diem. Oh well,it probably does make sense to them...I have never purchased from Carpe Diem before so it's good to hear you say, they are fast.
